Helen from Bideford "Great website with helpful videos to lead me through the design. We are a long way from the showroom so did it all from the pictures and samples. Very impressed with the build quality and helpfulness of the customer services team. (Loved the little touch of including the yorkshire tea with the delivery.) Ready built made such a difference to the installation time. And it all went together without looking like a DIY project.

We used slate worktops, from a local company here in Devon. We have a lot of slate in the house, which is Georgian with a Delabole slate roof. And we used a steel splash back, made bespoke to fill the full height of the wall units with a top, so that we solved the issue of how to cope with installing an extractor fan with 3.4 m ceilings.

If I had any suggestions of extras Iíd have liked, it would have been a few more options in the wall units. Benchmarx does 350mm deep to fit bigger dinner plates, and now we are installed, that might have been handy. Also would have chosen glass doors either side of my hob, except that i needed 450 mm, and that wasnít available in my range. But I was working to quite a budget, so no complaints.

I have learned a lot about how to use the side panels, pelmets and so on, and perhaps a few more tutorials in this area might have made ordering and planning a bit more efficient. I didnít think, for example to add side panels either side of every appliance, but my joiner suggested adding to end off the plinth, rather than returning it. Luckily I have 8 more kitchens to build in my other holiday lettings apartments, so my learning will be carried forwards, and I will definitely be using DIY kitchens again. Soon.

I heard about you because I was comparing Benchmarx and Howdens (we went trade supplier because of having a group of apartments to renovate) and googled some reviews online (benchmark vs Howdens), where one reviewer offered the option that he would choose neither, but instead go with DIY kitchens. I looked you up and put together my quote and you were about 30% cheaper with great customer feedback and no apparent disadvantages. "

Phil & Joy from Basingstoke "Hi, first of all, just a few words and thanks for the opportunity.

I had seen very positive comments about DIY Kitchens in a forum and decided to do a little research. This led me to the excellent web site with the virtual tour. We were very impressed so decided to drive up and make a weekend of the stay. We were glad we did and were to then make two further journeys to finalise everything.

Designing our kitchen took time and careful consideration, and three visits to Yorkshire to the fantastic showroom. The design stage was made all the more easy due to the available downloadable templates which really helped. Above all though, special thanks to the support team who were extremely knowledgeable, helpful and efficient. Response to support tickets was usually pretty much instant, and a wait of more than an hour extremely rare.

The delivery of the kitchen was a little late in the day, but the drivers were very apologetic and despite the late hour worked tirelessly to bring in the various boxes which quickly filled our double garage. It was only after that I realised the enormity of the task ahead to fit it all. However, everything went together just as planned. There was one small issue with a curved door, but a quick email to support resulted in a replacement ordered which arrived in three days. This was not an issue as doors are last to be fitted. The quality of the cabinets and hardware is excellent, and we are really pleased with the finished kitchen. I am also very proud of the results I achieved and the standard of finish, which is ultimately what the quality of the kitchen deserved."

Carolyn from Dunstable "I love my DIY Kitchen!! After reading rave reviews on Mumsnet, it sounded like they were a great company and I wasn't disappointed. The range of styles, colours, prices and cupboard configurations was excellent and placing the order was straight forward enough. When I'd missed a few things, I phoned customer service and they were super helpful. They also helped me work out how I could hide my washing machine and tumble dryer :-) The quality of the kitchen is superb and my builder really appreciated the tea bags and biscuits which came with the delivery!!!"

Malton Oak

Chris from Westbury "Well, we are really happy with the quality of our Shaker Malton Oak kitchen. I found DIY Kitchens through an on line search after extensive research & reading as many (hopefully independent) customer reviews as I could find of all the well known kitchen retailers.

As a result of this research, my main concern with choosing which supplier to go with was how my order would be dealt with in the event of any of the units arriving damaged or being incorrect. I needed to know that in this event, it would be rectified quickly as most of the negative feedback I had read about other suppliers related not so much about the quality of the units but about the poor after sales care when there had been an quality issue.

Fortunately, whilst researching DIY kitchens, it became apparent, that this hadnít been an issue with previous customers & even more reassuringly, that it was rare for units to arrive damaged or be the incorrect size, type etc anyway (accepting that things can always go wrong in life of course).

So, adding a very competitive price, good manufacture & delivery times to a positive reputation, decision made. Looking back now itís all finished (first time Iíve ever fitted any sort of kitchen) & having a chance to reflect, Iím happy to say my faith in DIY Kitchens has been completely rewarded, We are very happy with the whole process, receiving a quality product underpinned by excellent communication & customer service from initial enquiry right through to delivery & beyond. I would (& have already) happily recommend DIY Kitchens, many thanks. "
