Customer reviews - Linwood Alabaster
The attached are photos of our Linwood Alabaster kitchen with solid oak worktops.
We just wanted to let you know how thrilled we are with our new Linwood kitchen. We went with colour Alabaster predominately but also added a "dresser" in Cornflower blue.
The quality of the doors, carcasses, handles etc have been excellent - our kitchen fitter was very dubious prior to us taking delivery, as he doesn't advocate online shopping but he was thrilled to bits with it too! He kept commenting how well built it was and how easy it was to put together.
Ordering and planning was easy once I'd printed off your online sheets and any help we needed was readily supplied by your staff - they were stars!
Our builder has since recommended you to a number of his clients - our kitchen is now somewhat of a showroom!
I am sending some pictures and feedback for our new Linwood Alabaster painted oak kitchen which was completed earlier this week.
We knew about DIY Kitchens already from our son who had ordered his kitchen from them last year, and was impressed.
We are delighted with our new kitchen supplied by DIY Kitchens and have received many favourable comments already. The quality of the units is excellent, especially the top-end Blum drawers. We visited the DIY Kitchens showroom in Yorkshire and were very impressed with the quality of all the products, and the help and advice available there. We used our own team of joiner, electrician, plumber and plasterer. Yes, you do have to take care at the planning stage, and you will have to do more project management compared to getting a kitchen company in, but we have saved ourselves thousands of pounds using DIY Kitchens-supplied units and our own team, and I believe we have ended up with a far superior kitchen.
Excellent service from start to finish will definitely recommend.
Quality is excellent very Solid and came ready built which was a great touch.
Heard through a friend.
Here are some pictures of my completed kitchen.
Here are some pictures of my kitchen you may wish to use.
We are delighted with the kitchen we now have. It looks superb. The units/doors are of the highest quality, we never imagined our kitchen would look so good and so expensive. We considered other high street kitchen companies, and believe by choosing DIY Kitchens we have saved well over £9000.
The after service care provided by DIY Kitchens is again fantastic and the support team were only to happy to help.
Here are the pictures of my Broadoak Alabaster kitchen.
I found DIY kitchens while searching for a supplier of Second Nature kitchens. I had Broadoak Ivory doors and oak worktops fitted in my last kitchen and it was perfect.
After visiting the show room, I was so impressed with Innova's version- Linwood, I went for that instead. The design is identical but the inside of the doors was finished better than Broadoak and it has plain glazed doors, instead of "Flemish" or knobbly glazed, which I prefer. The colour scheme of blue and white worked better with alabaster than the yellow tones in the ivory.
The worktops/upstands are rustic oak. The edges were a little rougher than Second Nature's, but a light sand and 3 coats of oil and they look identical. The sink area is Maia- purchased separately, with a Franke boiling water 3 in 1 tap-worth every penny.
I wasn't sure whether there was enough space for an island so I kept the mobile island from my last kitchen (from Ikea) and the joiner cut a piece of worktop so it matched. I might still add a permanent island later. The plate rack is also from my previous kitchen.
Pre-order/delivery, I had a lot of questions as I designed the kitchen myself. The customer service was excellent, as it was during and after fitting when I had to go and pick up some extra shelf material.
The joiner I had usually recommends and fits Howdens kitchens but he and his workmate were so impressed with the quality and preassembly of the units, he is recommending these now. They loved the quick fix legs! The only issue for him was that the service gap is 45mm, whereas Howdens is 75mm. You gain cupboard space but where the gas pipe came in and ran along the wall he had to cut out a strip of the cupboard back. Other than that it all went smoothly, the cupboards fitted quickly, the soft close hinges are great and I'm glad I got the high sides for the pan drawers. You get so much in the deep ones and it's all visible and easy to get at.
The cost of the units/worktops was less than any of the quotes I had elsewhere and the quality of the cupboards is superior.
There's no bartering and "special discounts", working the price down until you say yes. One shop I went to eventually halved their original quote, in their desperation to get us to agree there and then, and it was still higher than I paid DIY kitchens! I probably saved money on fitting too because they come with doors/drawers/bin fitted and the legs snap on easily, saving time.
I have already recommended DIY kitchens to my family and friends, and will continue to do so. Thank you very much. I love my new kitchen!
Not only we were very impressed with the quality of these cabinets especially the beautiful doors , but our carpenter said he has not seen any as good. The kitchen only took 2 days to fully install as they came fully constructed even with the doors hung which didn't need any adjustments.
We are very very impressed the the whole look and quality of your products everyone who has seen our new kitchen wants to know we're we got such quality for such a good price.
My wife was not sure about ordering a kitchen on line but you make it so easy, we sent for sample doors which came so quick and the delivery service from you is exceptional, we had 2 young men deliver our kitchen and I have never had such respectful and careful delivery. Everything we purchased from you has been exceptional, thank you.
A fantastic kitchen at 50% less than Wrens and Wicks, but with a quality that far exceeded either. As a property developer I have installed dozens of kitchens over the years, I traditionally use Benchmarx or Howdens but for my own home I was looking for something a bit better.
I know what to look for and the fully assembled units with 18mm board and such a huge choice of unit sizes and styles is unbeatable. It wasn’t all about the kitchen either, the sales service is exceptional, from placing the initial order to delivery and help via the online support service DIY kitchens are way out in front of the competition.
Christine from Wakefield talk to DIY Kitchens about their new Innova Linwood painted kitchen that they purchased from us.
Our Linwood Alabaster kitchen.
Units are better than the high street retailers, and as they come pre-built they line up well and you can be confident that they have been properly assembled. We received a small pot of touch-up paint which was a thoughful gesture and I know it will come in handy in the future.
Nothing from the order was missing and there were no problems with any of the items. We were delighted with the level of service from start to finish and the final product did not let the rest of the great service and website down. The saveable shopping cart, and downloadable grid plans with cut out units were extraordinarily helpful. We are thrilled with our new kitchen.
My Linwood alabaster kitchen supplied by DIY Kitchens.
We discovered DIY-Kitchens through a Google search. After a few months of working with Wickes and Howdens and not quite getting what we wanted we decided that we should give DIY-Kitchens a serious look despite it sounding too good to be true. The web site is very good and the download Kitchen Planner invaluable but it was a day trip to the showroom in Yorkshire that convinced us this was the way to go. The help and support has been first class.
We are beyond delighted with our awesome new kitchen and cannot find fault with, nor find enough superlatives to describe our experience of purchasing from DIY kitchens !! Five stars richly deserved for quality of product and efficiency of the company. The units are stable and robust; the drawers and hinges are the highest quality. Our order arrived on the day they said it would, nothing was missing and everything was in perfect condition and well packaged. For quality of product they are similar to Wickes and Howdens; for colour range, they are in a class of their own because they sell cupboards/carcasses in virtually every colour that they sell exteriors in. We have 2 tall cupboards with the sides exposed and they match the doors perfectly. Most other companies only do white or wood effect, so you have to buy, and find space for, expensive end panels.
Excellent company – I would recommend to anyone !!
Linwood Alabaster Kitchen.
Overall impression of the kitchen, quality of doors, and units – very good quality and well made – our joiner commented on the quality as he was fitting it. We particularly appreciated the rounded end cupboard base and wall units which made a good finish. The spice rack pull out unit adds a nice touch and the larder unit mobile shelving is a delight to use.
We heard about DIY kitchens from a family member who had used your kitchen units and gave a good recommendation. Your staff have been very helpful with prompt replies.
My overall impression of the kitchen is that the quality is as good if not better than comparable ranges from the other suppliers that we considered (Wren and Howdens), but a great deal cheaper, with wider choice in units and more control over design.
We bought a DIY Kitchen last October and have finally got it installed.
We have been really pleased with our new kitchen, it is beautifully built, very robust and was so easy to build into our lovely kitchen. We love the painted wood doors and the huge range of units we had to choose from – it was easy to find just what we wanted.
Hope you like our pictures as much as we love our kitchen!
