Updated June 2023 and based on information available on retailer websites, marketing literature, in-store displays and physical product reviews.

All prices include VAT but exclude delivery. Prices also include any offers available at the time of obtaining the quote.

The comparison is for units, doors, decorative panels and plinths only. It does not include any appliances, worktops, sinks, taps or fitting costs.

Rigid cabinets are pre-assembled in the factory prior to delivery. All DIY Kitchen cabinets are supplied rigid (with the exception of large corner units), with all doors, drawers and accessories pre-fitted. Competitor cabinets may be supplied rigid, however, they may or may not be supplied with doors, drawers and accessories pre-fitted. Please see the comparison table for details.

Typically, a rigid cabinet will be supplied using traditional, glue and dowel construction. This is considered a stronger form of construction than cam and dowel, usually used on flat pack or ready-to-assemble units.

Some competitors (not listed in this table) may supply rigid cabinets using cam and dowel construction. These are basically flat pack units pre-assembled in the factory before delivery..

We believe that the right way to make a kitchen unit is to only drill for holes that are required for that unit. Therefore, in DIY Kitchen units, the only extra drill holes you will see will be for shelf height adjustment. We believe this not only looks better but is also an indication of better quality.

Competitors may drill a panel to be used on multiple cabinets, therefore saving manufacturing and storage costs, however this means you get a cabinet with more holes than needed that require unsightly cover caps.

At DIY Kitchens we do it the right way at a lower price than our competitors.

We believe in using the best quality components in our cabinets. That's why we, along with many of our competitors use Blum - a globally recognised supplier of quality hinge systems.

We believe in using the best quality components in our cabinets. That's why we, along with many of our competitors use Blum - a globally recognised supplier of quality drawer systems.

DIY Kitchens are supplied with all doors fitted. This is not only a sign of quality but also saves you or your installer time by not having to attach hinges and doors during installation.

When we supply a rigid drawer unit, we supply a rigid drawer unit. This means that all drawer runners, drawer boxes and drawer fronts arrive fitted within the unit, rather than separate items that need assembly on site.

Some competitors may fit the drawers but will supply the drawer fronts separately, costing you more time and money when installing.

All units that include wirework or accessories, such as pull-out wirework or waste storage systems, are supplied with these items already fitted.

Some competitors will supply this separately to be installed on site. This can be complicated, time consuming and costly.

We believe in using the best quality components in our cabinets. That's why we, along with many of our competitors use Kessebohmer - a globally recognised supplier of quality internal storage systems.

At DIY Kitchens we believe in offering you as much choice as possible. That's why we have 7 external cabinet colours. These can be used to provide a perfect match to the same colour door, or alternatively provide a striking contrast – the choice is yours.

Where external cabinet colours match the door colour, this can also help to save money on end panels that would normally be required to cloak the external side of the cabinet, potentially saving you money.

DIY Kitchen cabinets are also available in the same 7 interior colours. For example, if you have chosen Luca Gloss Alabaster doors, you can also choose Alabaster cabinets, providing a fully, colour-matched interior and exterior.

Just another sign of higher quality available at prices lower than our competitors.

Every kitchen requires services, such as gas, electric and water. Therefore, the service void on base units is required to help with installation around pipes, sockets, etc. DIY Kitchens have a service void of 42mm, which is more than sufficient to aid installation without impacting too much on the internal capacity of the unit.

DIY Kitchens believes that if you want your kitchen in a colour of your choice then that's exactly what you should get.*

Once you've provided us with a colour reference or a swatch, we will paint your kitchen in any colour, that's right any colour.

We are the only supplier listed on this comparison table to provide this service.

* Please note that this only applies to certain door ranges.

We believe in doing things right, and when you order a painted kitchen door, we believe that you would want all of the door, front and back, painted in the same colour. That is exactly what we do.

Some competitors will only paint the front and edges of the door, so, if you're shopping around, make sure you compare the back and not just the front!

Just another sign of higher quality available at prices lower than our competitors.

We call this price transparency and ensures that you can see exactly what you're paying for. Every customer takes advantage of the same, low, DIY Kitchen prices, rather than different discounts for different customers as seen with some of our competitors.

This makes it easy for you to plan your kitchen and your budget, whilst at the same time seeing exactly how much you could save by choosing DIY Kitchens.
