John & Karen from Bottesford 'John & Karen from Bottesford talk to DIY Kitchens about their new Innova Cento Oak kitchen that they purchased from us'
Adam from East Sussex 'Adam from East Sussex talks to DIY Kitchens about his new Innova Altino light grey kitchen that he purchased from us.'
Dan & Marie from Wolverhampton 'I love the quality, nice rigid carcase, easy to order, and great communication. So impressed by the whole service. Delivery too in such an awkward location that they did with ease.
I saw DIY Kitchens online, trialled with units for utility at first and equally impressed when ordering the kitchen. I saved so much v competitors.'
Nat from North London 'Great quality and value for money. The kitchen is better than what I expected in reality. I loved playing around on the plans and spent a long time in the build up to the actual build, making adjustments and I enjoyed doing all this myself. My builder confirmed the quality as well and he was also fitting a competitor kitchen that is more expensive in a nearby house at around the same time. Super pleased I went with DIY. I have recommended you to others. I heard about DIY Kitchens from A colleague at work who was using you for her build. Then when I asked around I had friends of friends also mentioning they had used you. This was the only quote I got, as the feedback had been so positive.'
Matthew from Derbyshire ' I’ve got to say I’ve fitted quite a few kitchens professionally from different suppliers and for the price point I think DIY Kitchens are hard to beat! The quality of the carcasses is right up there and all the hinges and drawer runners are great quality, I love that the carcasses have a solid back to them and all the edges are finished with a really high quality thick edging.
The whole process from design to finish was an easy and pleasant experience, I must admit I was a little sceptical about how good the quality would be but I visited the showroom and was pleasantly surprised. As for the price, I again was pleasantly surprised! I managed a saving of nearly 40% on a like for like kitchen from my local supplier (who I fit for on a regular basis!).
There were a few issues with the doors however, not so much the quality of them but it was how they were packed for transit. The units come fully built with all components and doors fitted (good send from an installation point of view as it saves so much time not having to fit drawer runners, corner mechanisms etc!).
I heard of DIY Kitchen through a friend and on the whole I had a brilliant experience with them, my kitchen is totally transformed as is the feel of the whole house come to think of it! I would (and have) 100% recommend DIY Kitchens to anyone that would listen to me, great company and they offer a great service for a great price. '
Laurence from Devon 'Here are 4 photos of my recently installed/purchased kitchen. I have been very pleased with my purchase, the quality and build of the cabinets, the efficiency of the delivery and of course the price.'
Louise from Manchester 'Absolutely delighted with our new kitchen. The finish, colour and quality is superb. We saved a fortune buying from DIY Kitchens and I loved the process of designing myself. DIY Kitchens helped me create my dream kitchen, albeit small it’s just perfect.'
Lucie from East Yorkshire 'We’re really happy with it and it’s exactly what we envisaged when we designed it. It’s Cento black ash with a carerra dakar island. The worktops are Dekton Sirius
We made a saving of around £7000 against two alternative quotes and we are really happy with the kitchen and found the process easy and straightforward. We also went on to fit out our pantry and utility room with carrera cashmere as we’d been so happy with our experience.
We heard about DIY Kitchens through a friends recommendation and then we visited the showroom.'
Mrs Johnson from East Devon 'A friend recommended DIY Kitchens and we were thrilled with the result. The planning tool on the website was the easiest to use compared to other companies and it was easy to ring and get advice.
Everything was delivered on time and our kitchen fitter said the units were brilliant to install. We got the granite worktops from DIY Kitchens too, which were fitted by a local company. Very pleased with DIY Kitchens and would highly recommend them. We saved over £5k compared to other quotes and so pleased with the results.'
Carl from Somerton 'Here are some pictures from our renovation. I can't believe how simple it was to fit. Incredible quality and value for money. We have a 5m picture window in the kitchen and the high gloss finish of the units mirrors the outside view. Truly stunning. I paid roughly 70% of what I was quoted for a similar finish from other vendors.'
Harish & Rekha from the West Midlands 'This is a kitchen we bought when we had a major extension, it’s exactly what we wanted at an unbelievable price. We opted for Carrera Matt Dove Grey in the main for the kitchen with a contrasting Knightsbridge Blue matt finish for the doors on the island. The worktops and bar were finished off with Stones Carrara Flowery quartz.
The quality is excellent. The soft close option on all doors adds an additional sense of luxury and was well recommended by our builders, Simcox Construction who also expertly fitted the entire kitchen and bar area. The family firm also have DIY kitchens in their own homes.
In short, we can’t be understand why people go elsewhere for their kitchen. The product, service and friendly staff are a winning package. We saved tens of thousands of pounds compared to other quotes, which caps it all off! '
Abbie & Danielle from London 'We are delighted with our new kitchen. Our fitter commented on the quality of the cabinets, and ordering them pre-assembled definitely saved us on labour time.
There were so many options for the units, which allowed us to incorporate our own bespoke Plywood elements and give it a designer feel. Matching the doors and carcasses makes it feel premium. Having looked at many (much more expensive) alternatives, we feel like we got a real bargain. and there are no nasty surprises with DIY Kitchens, the pricing is clear throughout.
We were inspired by the bespoke designs of Uncommon Projects but didn't have the budget. We set about trying to recreate the designer look, incorporating Plywood elements, but within a tight budget. We enjoyed the creative process, the visualiser was really helpful, and the kitchen turned out even better than we had hoped. We get so many compliments on it - we love it!
We used DIY Kitchens in our last house, and were really happy with the quality and finish. The kitchen still looked like new 4 years after install, what more can you ask for?! For that reason we knew we would use DIY Kitchens again. Can't recommend you guys enough - and we do in fact recommend you a lot! I think initially we found you online.
The designer kitchen that we wanted would have cost us more than £30k (Uncommon Projects), we achieved a similar look using DIY Kitchens units, with some added bespoke Plywood elements for £6k. '
Suzanne from West Yorkshire 'We love our DIY Kitchen and had excellent service throughout. The price was cheaper than the multiple other companies we tried, as was the service.
The planning tool made it easy for us (my dad who was chief designer!) to try out many different options before making our final decision.
We recommend DIY Kitchens to everyone who asks and my friend has already placed her order because she loves ours so much! '
Kate & Rich from London 'Fantastic kitchen and incredibly good value. Better than all other kitchens we looked at and a fraction of the price.'
Stephen from Lanarkshire 'I’m now retired from teaching joiners and construction after 34 years, a working joiner for 43 years now. I have fitted kitchens all my life of every different manufacturer. Having now fitted my own (and second) DIY Kitchen, I can safely say they are the best made, best packaged, best finished and best delivered of any I have been involved with in the past. I would also recommend your granite suppliers and fitters, excellent process.'
Dean & Jane from Lincoln 'We could not be happier with the quality of all the kitchen units, worktops, doors and additional items such as sinks, door handles etc.. The kitchen fitter we employed to fit the fitchen also remarked how good the quality of the units were in comparison to the likes of Wren, Howdens, Magnets etc..
We kept a very accurate spreadsheet of all costs quoted from the companies we requested quotations including Wren, Howdens, Magnets and B&Q. The outcome was we saved in excess of £3k and this included us buying Quartz worktop from DIY where all the others had quoted for Laminate worktop.'
Stuart from Truro 'Very pleased with the overall quality of the units and the wide choice of unit configuration. The 3D planner is an excellent tool for giving an accurate representation of how the installation will look. I was impressed with DIY Kitchens after my son had his kitchen fitted out with DIY units. '
Penny from Cheltenham 'We were recommended to DIY Kitchens by a friend who is a professional kitchen fitter. We chose a very simple layout and neutral colour scheme, as the kitchen was being replaced prior to selling the house.
Despite making a small mistake and having to order an additional wall unit, overall the cost of the kitchen units was around 40% less than any other quote we had.
We are delighted with it. The quality of the units is top notch - all properly fixed and finished and we really appreciated the choice to buy the superior quality hinges. Having the units pre-assembled made such a big difference to the ease of installation, which we did ourselves.
The service was superb - all pre-order queries were clearly explained by phone or by email, and a couple of minor issues we had on delivery were all sorted easily. Everything was just simple, clear and arrived exactly as described. The website is also very easy to use, which gave us confidence in placing the order.
We took a trip to the factory and showroom to collect our extra wall unit (it made a nice weekend away). We were also really impressed with the showroom which gave us lots of ideas. I'd recommend everyone visits if possible before placing an order.
We have recommended DIY Kitchens to other friends and will be back for a second kitchen in our new home hopefully later in 2024.'
Sarah from Oxfordshire 'Brilliant kitchen company, great choice of units, excellent quality and competitively priced. I found the 3D kitchen design facility very useful when designing our kitchen and there was lots of helpful support to check that I was getting all the right components. I have already recommended to friends and would definitely use DIY kitchens again. '
Alisdair from Glasgow 'It’s been over 6 months since I’ve had the kitchen fitted and it has truly transformed my living space into a sociable haven.
The standout feature is undoubtedly the island, which has become the heart of social gatherings. Its design not only fosters a seamless flow in the kitchen but also serves as a central hub for conversations, meal preps and shared moments. The modern aesthetic of the kitchen is captivating. The sleek lines and contemporary finishes have given the entire space a fresh and cleaner look. It effortlessly combines functionality with style, creating and environment that is both practical and visually appealing.
The kitchen itself may be the core focus but the exceptional customer service I experienced with my purchase also deserves a special mention. From the initial inquiry and even with post order amendments, the service provided was consistently outstanding. The online tool was definitely fun to use. I was able to save over £5000 with other competitors, and in addition to that, they were not as flexible as DIY were with some my my own requirements.
Buddy much prefers to sit by the breakfast bar than Minnie!'
Tom from Bristol 'Great quality kitchen units, really handy they come rigid as it saves on time and makes it easier to install and made significant savings.'
Alex from London 'Here are some photos of my DIY kitchen. The quality is excellent as always. I’ve used you for projects many times. I don’t even bother getting quotes from anyone else!'
Carrie from Glasgow 'I am absolutely delighted with my new kitchen and utility room. I think your company is amazing on so many levels. Your products, the price, the online planner, advice online and customer service, delivery and after sales, in my experience, have all been exceptional. I would have no hesitation in recommending your company to others.'
Helen & Hus from West Sussex 'Just wanted to say we LOVE our DIY kitchen. We are sooo impressed with our concrete coloured units. The quality is high, the finish is great, not even our cat can scratch them!
The arrived ready made up units, which was so much quicker and easier to install. We were recommended by our builder to use DIY Kitchens and we weren't disappointed. We really enjoyed designing our layout and it's great that DIY check it as they pointed out some things we hadn't considered.
We definitely saved money by using DIY Kitchens, but the quality is the same (if not better) than Howdens but a fraction of the cost. It helped the whole kitchen project to come in on budget - thank you!'
Pat & Paula '"We researched lots of kitchens online and found everything we wanted at DIY Kitchens. The prices are very hard to beat and the quality is excellent. I enjoyed using the online planner tool to design it and we’re very happy with the results."'
Gem & Mark from Oxfordshire '
We absolutely love the kitchen we purchased. We purchased the gloss doors, which are fabulous quality and came beautifully packaged. Our worktop is the perfect colour and we love the slight texture. It is super easy to keep clean and looks very smart.
As a result, we purchased extra to use in my at home beauty salon and also in the utility area. Overall, our impression is that we found the customer service to be extremely helpful, the cost of the kitchen was very fair, with good quality products. The delivery was speedy but respectful. We are very happy thank you.
We would absolutely use DIY Kitchens again. We also found the website to be very helpful and we loved the fact that you can make your own 3D kitchen on the website. It made the process of purchasing our first kitchen, very easy!
We heard about DIY kitchens by word of mouth and saved money using DIY Kitchens over other companies. '
Claire from Hitchin 'I bought the Carrera range in sage. I made a huge saving of about £10k, compared to the same design with Howdens and absolutely love how it all looks. The quality is super impressive and I love the soft close hinges and the modern lines. My new kitchen is my favourite room in the whole house. Thank you!'
Lyndsey from Chesterfield 'My overall impression on my new kitchen is fantastic. I think it’s great. I love the tall units with the draws in them. The draws are really sturdy and glide in and out brilliantly. I love the contrast of the black doors with the copper handles.
A lot of my family and friends have commented on how wonderful it looks. We also used the smaller units to build a seating area which is fantastic when people come round and socialising. We also used end panels to make our background where our oak shelves are, so it all blends in together.
I would highly recommend DIY Kitchens. DIY Kitchens were recommended to me by a member of my family and I would do the same if anyone asks me. I did have quotes from other kitchen companies and DIY Kitchens were the cheapest.
I was slightly nervous with planning and measuring it all ourselves but so pleased we did and it was well worth it. We did make a saving using DIY Kitchens even when we needed to order another unit and more oak. Highly recommend this company. '
Tom & Gabby from Herts 'We’re very happy with our kitchen and the quality of the products from DIY Kitchens are superb. We used DIY Kitchens before in our previous home, so we know that we can’t go wrong with it. Also we saved a lot of money comparing to the other companies.'
Ashleigh from Greater Manchester 'Here are some before and after photos for my kitchen in Cento Black Ash and India White worktops. We opened up the space from a downstairs bedroom, bathroom and old kitchen.'
Linda from Doncaster 'Here are some photos of our new kitchen, i'm so pleased with it, hhich is a big statement from me as I used to be a kitchen designer myself. I designed this kitchen myself with help from your colleagues. '
Tan from Merton 'Here are a few pics I have of the stunning concrete grey kitchen, installed earlier this year and looking fresh in a high end contemporary 3 bed house by the coast. '
Janet from Cornwall 'Myself and my partner Martin fitted the kitchen ourselves and made the floating island. We made the worktop using resin onto marine plywood. The first coat is black then poured copper and brass covering in a clear coat. We wanted a totally individual worktop.
We were very impressed with the quality of units and the ability to design our own bespoke kitchen. The wall units worked perfectly to build a floating island. We did a lot of thinking and planning to get it to work, especially as plumbing and electrical had to be hidden.
'
Joseph from Bath 'I was recommended DIY Kitchens by a friend and can honestly say you are one of the best companies I have ever dealt with. Customer service was second to none, everybody I have spoken to was concise and very professional. I really liked the build your own kitchen online feature, as we could model the kitchen using our dimensions. The quality of the kitchen is fantastic and my family and I are really enjoying the new kitchen. A big thank you from us. '
Charlotte from Nottingham 'Our DIY kitchen surpassed all of our expectations, we visited the showroom prior to ordering, which we found super useful! When the kitchen was installed we couldn’t believe how good the quality was and how premium it looked! We’ve been using it for just over 6 months and have no complaints or issues! Exactly what we were looking for in terms of look, feel and quality all for an amazing price!
We heard about DIY kitchens from a friend who had their kitchen via DIY a few months previous to us ordering. We also made a huge saving for like for like quality and products
The customer service was also amazing and super supportive all the way from designing to install! Couldn’t recommend DIY Kitchens highly enough.'
Elizabeth from Shropshire 'We love our DIY kitchen and my husband was especially impressed as he had to fit it that it came fully assembled. There is nowhere else you can get this such good value kitchen. We happened to stumble upon DIY Kitchens on Google and loved the kitchen planner so we could design it ourselves.'
Paul from Wilshire 'Very happy with the overall quality of the units and doors which feel robust and well finished. A couple of minor defects we found though were quickly resolved thanks to the customer support at DIY Kitchens.'
Tim from Cumbria 'My second time fitting a DIY-Kitchens Kitchen! So easy to install, did it myself. I love the design tool, the support service is dilligant and very considerate once you've completed the order. Excellent quality, sturdy, beautiful paint and everything arrived quickly and delivered straight into my house. Heard from another recommendation by another satisfied customer! Saved overall about £1500 (based on a quote for supply only from a recognised national brand). Couldn't recommend enough!'
Phillippa from Birmingham 'Here are some before and after pictures of our wonderful DIY Kitchens’ kitchen! We absolutely loved designing our own kitchen and DIY Kitchens let us do that - it was so helpful as our extension kept changing too, so we could update as we went. It’s a beautiful kitchen and such great quality - our builder was very thankful all the units came pre-built too! We didn’t do a head to head comparison as we couldn’t find what we wanted at other suppliers! We were pleasantly surprised at the cost though. '
Darren & Geraldine from Sutton Coldfield 'We absolutely love this kitchen. I installed it myself & it was really easy & straightforward. We also purchased the dekton work surface, which was a really easy process to have delivered & installed. We are so happy with it all & would definitely recommend buying one if these kitchens.
Worktop - Zenith Dekton 20mm worktop
Handles - Bar Handle, Antique Copper, 220mm Long, 160mm Hole Center (IN-SC-5906)
Wine Rack - Made by the customer'
Gillian & Kevin from Grantham 'Our kitchen is not the biggest 3260mmx4507mm and is in a 1970's bungalow, which we are completely renovating.
Having fit and renovated houses before, we didn't want the normal hight street kitchens and we didn't want to pay a fortune. We researched online and found DIY Kitchens. We loved the online planner and when we have had kitchens designed in the past, there was always something you wanted to move around post the design consultation, or something you didn't quite like. The planner allows you to pay around and have a really good think about the space! The price is very competitive but better quality that the high street.
We found the price to be amazing and we love the quality of the units. The portal is very user friendly and everything is trackable, we wouldnt hesitate to recommend or use you again🙂. I was hesitant about using an online supplier, but we kept our design simple and easy, and it has turned out how we wanted it, black with the industrial look! We absolutely love our kitchen, THANK YOU.'
Caroline from Pembrokeshire 'We heard about DIY Kitchens from a post on Facebook and after reading many reviews, I decided to place an order for the Cento graphite and light grey combination.
We are absolutely thrilled with the entire kitchen. The quality is excellent and the fact that everything is ready built, made it possible for us to install it ourselves.
The quartz surface is stunning and fitted perfectly. In comparison to quotes we received from 'high street' suppliers, we have completed a kitchen including appliances and a dining room, for what we were quoted for just the kitchen with no fitting.
We would highly recommend DIY Kitchens. Thank you for making it possible to have a dream kitchen!'
Emma from North Yorkshire 'We are finally finished, so I'm happy to share my new kitchen! I would also like to say a huge thank you to DIY for making the whole process smooth and affordable! I couldn't have got this beautiful kitchen anywhere else for the amount we have paid.'
Georgie & Steve from Sheffield 'Here are some pictures of our kitchen you supplied us. We are so happy with it! We moved into our house in 2021, and it needed bringing into the 21st century, some of the work involved knocking through the kitchen and dining room, to create a much happier space.
We have included some photos of the old kitchen and dining room. This gives you an idea where the window in the dining room is now. The french doors and the kitchen window, are now a tall thin window.'
Lesley from Cheshire 'My fitter was super impressed with the my planning. He had NEVER fitted a kitchen before where everything fit as planned and nothing missing! Thanks to your planning tool and help from your telephone team I planned it all by myself. If I can do that anyone can. Lesley Cheshire. The quality is as good as any major chain. '
Nasia from Castleford 'We heard about DIY kitchens through our friends and we are so glad we did. The kitchen cabinets were top quality and our joined stated it’s the easiest kitchen he has ever put together and will be recommending DIY to all his clients in future.
It’s difficult to compare this kitchen to our old kitchen in pictures as we did a full renovation and moved the kitchen sink from one location to another. But I’ve attached the pictures anyway.'
Beth from West Yorkshire 'We started the kitchen in April and finally got the plinths on just before Christmas. Possibly someone may have thought the yellow was a bit mad but hope you like it finished! We've chosen to keep the walls in the plaster finish, they've been sealed also, an intentional choice. Felt the times and texture were perfect with the yellow and wall tiles we used by hob.'
Debbie from Wrexham 'I would love to share my pictures of my beautifully kitchen supplied by yourself. I got referred to you by a friend who had also had one of your kitchens a few months previously. My house is an old brick 220 year old cottage, so I wanted to go with traditional and cosy but also a trendier look.'
Jon from Hampshire 'So impressed with the kitchen. I went with the Centro range which is the budget option. The quality is amazing, absolute no faults whatsoever for a great price. The doors are sturdy and well-built, the worktops have amazing colours and are really tough and durable. When building it, everything went together very well and the prebuilt units made life so much easier.
The kitchen is in an Airbnb and has had regular use from multiple different types of people since it was put and it still looks brand new. We get regular compliments from guests asking where we got the kitchen from and always recommend DIY kitchens.
Heard about DIY kitchens from my friend who is a chippy, he has used DIY kitchens many times before. We sat in the old kitchen and designed the whole thing using the DIY kitchens design tool.
'
Courtney from Barnsley 'We absolutely love our kitchen, I managed to find everything I was looking for. The perfect colour and everything! Thank you. Our kitchen fitter uses DIY so we went with his recommendation.'
Kim-Joy from Yorkshire '
Kim-Joy, The Great British Bake Off Finalist 2018.
My experience with DIY kitchens has been amazing from start to finish. I love that they have price clarity and don’t pressure you into any sales. It helps that they have tons of cabinet options too, and it meant I could get the EXACT bespoke colours in the EXACT style of cabinet that I wanted! All these things were essential for me, and not something that most kitchen companies will offer.
I found the ordering process online intuitive and straight forward, and Janina from DIY Kitchens even checked over my plan and cart when I ordered online, just to make sure there was nothing essential missing. She suggested that the door front for the bin could be made from drawer fronts and easily altered by the kitchen fitter, so would blend in with the rest of the drawers on the aisle side of the island.
I absolutely LOVE my kitchen now and it’s everything I wanted it to be. It’s my favourite place in the world, I bake in it all the time and it’s a total dream. The cabinet quality is brilliant and I can see it lasting a long, long time.'
Debbie & Steve from Bedfordshire 'This is our 4th Kitchen from DIY Kitchens, 2 were exported to Spain to our holiday home & holiday rental, that’s how confident we were that the kitchen would arrive complete & undamaged, we weren’t disappointed.'
Katie from West Yorkshire 'We absolutely love our kitchen, and everyone who sees it loves it too. The quality is excellent and we have recommended you to lots of our family and friends. The service and help you provide is amazing.'
Helen and Steve from Kingston upon Thames 'We first heard about DIY kitchens when we were looking at properties that had been renovated by a prospective builder. Then a friend also recommended them.
We used the planning tool to design and order our kitchen and we were impressed by the attention to detail when we received an email checking that we had chosen the correct colour carcasses etc. The delivery men were polite, friendly and helpful. DIY kitchens were quick to sort out a couple of issues with the delivery and arranged replacements without charge.
The units and drawers are of good quality and the doors are solid. Our builder said that they were easy to fit. We love DIY kitchens so much that we have also ordered units for our utility room as well. Great range of choice and great value.'
Cathy from London 'I love my kitchen. It is fantastically functional. It may look small to some people as it is just an L-shaped kitchen but it has all the modern appliances and storage we need, while at the same time having a minimalistic and clean look.
The doors are Carrera Matt White painted, and the other finishings are made from stone, solid metals and wood, so the kitchen feels real to the touch. Not plastic, like the vinyl wrapped alternatives all other kitchen shops offer at this price range.
I was also very happy to find flat slab style at DIY Kitchens. The market is oversaturated with shaker style or handleless kitchens, neither of which would fit our mid-century modern flat.
After Wren turned out to be a total disaster, my cousin advised me to look into DIY Kitchens, since you seemed popular in the Facebook remodelling groups. Honestly, they do not deserve such a massive place on the market. I wish you had their resources, so that you can have a showroom around London. '
Charlotte from West Yorkshire 'Here are some photos of my old kitchen and my new kitchen, Carrera bespoke painted. lottie_loves_green - Instagram'
Adrian & Gill from Preston 'Had a look around a number of websites, Howdens, Wickes, etc. and there didn't seem to be much variation in price, then found DIY Kitchens online. At first I was sceptical as to how they could supply a quality product at such a good price. So we decided to have a run out to the showroom. Still no idea as to how they manage to supply such a good quality product at such a low price. Was very impressed by the quality, range, colour and helpful the staff were.
On delivery day, everything turned up on time and really well packed, unfortunately ONE of the doors was damaged, but after a quick phone call a new one was delivered within 48 hrs. In short - superb quality at a VERY good price (still do not know how they do it ?).'
Chris from Herts 'Overall impression of the kitchen, good quality door, hinges, etc. Easy to design, great customer support, well packaged for delivery and all ordered items in delivery, easy to fit too.'
Gill from Lincolnshire 'Here are some pics of your fabulous kitchen cabinets. We haven't quite finished our "retirement" project here yet but are loving creating our little home.
Your cabinets are the best we have ever had. We have always installed our own kitchens over the 40+ years we've been remodelling our homes but yours were the simplest, safest and by far best workmanship of them all. Well done DIY Kitchens.'
Ray from Telford 'Here is our kitchen and utility room. Great product, easy to fit and beautiful finish – we’ve had a lot of compliments thus far from people who have visited.
My wife found detail on a google search and after some research decided to go with DIY kitchens – good call. Have recommended this company to a number of people.'
Carol from Aberdeenshire 'Here are some photos of my beautiful cornflour blue kitchen.'
Ben & Nicola from Horsforth 'This is the second kitchen we have installed from you. We are happy with the overall finish and received great customer service, all issues resolved in a timely manner. '
Laura & Richard from Leeds 'We are so impressed with the quality of everything we ordered. The panels are very thick and of much better quality than we've seen from other well-known brands. Being able to have a non-white colour on the inside of the cupboards and our bookshelf on the island adds to that quality too, and this usually comes at a premium with other brands.
We've had no issues with chipping of the panels and haven't needed to use the top-up paint at all. We chose to have all pan drawers on our island to make clean lines, and they are again of great quality; two of them also have hidden cutlery drawers which are a good idea if you don't want shallow drawers.
We also opted for a quartz worktop and absolutely love it. Perhaps our favourite thing in the kitchen is our pull-out larder unit, which is life-changing when you're used to kneeling on the floor trying to find things at the back of a cupboard. '
Elliot & Kiera from Nottingham 'We love DIY Kitchens, we have used them before & will continue to for our future projects! Website builder is really useful and extra parts are always easy to order.'
Dot from Cumbria 'DIY kitchens were initially recommended to us by our daughter. I thoroughly enjoyed the design process using your kitchen planner. We have been so impressed with the excellent quality and amazing customer service we have also recommended to others.
We designed the kitchen around an old sideboard we made into an island to replace the kitchen table and changed the sun/TV room on the end of the kitchen to small utility area with 2nd sink for mucky boots, dog bowls etc. We love everything about our new kitchen, especially the pull out larder and the pull out basket drawers in all the floor cupboards.'
Jan from Dorset 'We found DIY Kitchens online. It was a long process but we had the time because an extension was still underway. DIY Kitchens helped us every step of the way with our million questions.
The wait was worthwhile, we're more than thrilled with the result. We chose a modern painted kitchen in Cornflour Blue and the island is Cobham Blue. I just love the colours and everyone who's been in to see it has said the same. The workmanship is overall impressive with great attention to detail. The worktops are Blanco Maple quartz, they're stunning and are perfect with both colours. They were fitted by a very skilled fitter. The brushed stainless handles also came from DIY Kitchens and are also very good quality.
My new kitchen is a lovely space to work in and for me, makes cooking and dining a lovelier experience. '
Sylvia from Nottingham 'I discovered DIY Kitchens on Google when looking for places that would supply a kitchen for DIY installation without using a tradesperson. Despite being almost 2 hours away and amid Covid restrictions, we were impressed with the showroom, the quality and the choice.
We did our own design and ordered online. The order was delivered on time. Follow up was on the whole good with a few problems being sorted out eventually.
The worktops (Egger Anthracite metal rock laminate) and appliances were sourced elsewhere in advance as were some components that had to be bespoke to our design.
Now we have a lovely brand new Kitchen, completely fitted by my husband. No-one can believe the price!'
Richard from Featherstone 'I ordered my Kitchen from DIY kitchens as I had previously worked for Ultima kitchens as a Supervisor. The other reason I used them is the quality of the doors and units for the price. I got several quotes from places like Wren, Wicks and Howdens, but they were way more expensive for the same type units. We love the kitchen, colour, work top and style.
The kitchen is only small but we maximised the space with the help of the online design team and Customer service were also very good and very helpful throughout. Thanks to all at DIY kitchens.'
Toby from Oswestry 'Went for bespoke colour excellent quality units and worktops, rang for advice when designing all questions answered and delivered on time. '
Nathan from York 'We ordered our kitchen from yourselves for a project we’ve just finished in York. We heard about DIY through friends, and we’re so glad we chose them. The quality, price, and range at DIY are second to none, I can’t recommend their kitchens enough.
The sales support is excellent, and delivery lead times from order are prompt. The aftersales team were extremely helpful when we needed a few extra pieces, and our parts were made available right away. DIY kitchen’s design tool is intuitive and ease to use, we’ve recommended their services to all our friends who are planning their new kitchen’s.
Thanks again to the team at DIY, we absolutely love our new kitchen!'
Anne from Derbyshire 'We finished our white Altino kitchen in December We started fitting it in September. I never thought that 5 months on, I’d still be walking in every morning thinking, “wow!’, especially as we fitted it ourselves. The only help we had was fitting the worktops.'
Yvonne and Ant from Chelmsford 'Extremely good quality kitchen units. A bonus for us that the units where already assembled. The doors and drawers are a lovely soft shut. Perfect to be able to include handles in our order. The provision of a planning tool on line was brilliant and helped us consider options we had not thought of. We have had lots of compliments from family, friends and neighbours as well as enquires regarding where we bought it.
We researched kitchens and DIY Kitchens came up. Lots of good reviews, plenty of choice and a user friendly website. We looked no further. '
Hannah from Carshalton 'My kitchen is my favourite place in the house by a long stretch. It’s exactly what I had in my mind as the perfect kitchen. DIY Kitchens were easy to deal with and fantastically affordable. So pleased with the final product.'
Shirley from Worthing 'We love our DIY kitchens and we love the quality of the units and doors. I particularly love my Swing out pantry unit. It is amazing and has so much space for my tins etc. I heard about DIY kitchens from a friend.
There are also 2 pictures of our old kitchen before our transformation. You will see we knocked out a wall to make it into a kitchen/diner to create more space and give more space.'
Shaz from Sheffield 'We completely re-orientated the kitchen and removed the island. While we had only been in the house a year and the island seemed so attractive when we looked around; all we did on the island was dump stuff!
We love our kitchen now. So much space and I am the envy of our friends with all the extras that we managed to fit in, the basket drawers under the sink and the magic corner unit. '
Andrew from London 'Overall impression of the kitchen was it was well made, well finished and such a relief not to have to screw it together!
We wanted to create a bespoke looking kitchen for a faction of the cost. We wanted to start with quality carcases where we had choice over the internal finish, white internals rarely feel premium. DIY kitchens units fulfilled that brief perfectly.
We ordered a Carrara matt kitchen but also the Luca Matt drawer fronts - just for the top line of drawers. This way we mixed a handle design with a handless design. It would have been good if this was possible to order like that but it’s not an option, so one set of fronts had to be thrown away. We purchased the carbon colour for the doors but had the fronts resprayed separately. We opted for the same colour for the fronts but the top drawers are glossier finish to the bottom drawers which are matt. Note that Luca fronts are 21mm thick and the Carrara fronts are 18mm thick, so to get them to align we added some self adhesive rubber buffers to the backs of the Carrara fronts which added the extra 3mm of depth required. All of the units are fitted with drawers. They make the best use of the space. Even the sink unit has drawers and the wire drawer is cleverly cut out to allow for the waste from the sink. It’s super handy.
We also routed a groove out of the dishwasher front before the respray so that the line of the drawers continued through. The legs that came with the units were removed and the units supported on a fixed timber framework at the back and on metal legs at the front. The framework is faced in a mirrored plinth that DIY kitchens supplied. The block in the middle containing the appliances was given panels that were faced in stainless steel (available elsewhere). The microwave recess was lined in stainless steel and a false back was added to the recess that houses the isolation switches for the appliances. This approach kept the visible sockets to a minimum.
The stone worktop is made from 20mm Limestone (which can mark easily and doesn’t like acids, just like marble). The front edge on the stone was given a unique tooled edge to provide some contrast with the smooth stone. The units were pulled away from the wall by about 5” and a stepped ledge was created to act as a splash back and a shelf to free up counter space. It’s also used for decorative objects or bottles of oil etc. The gap at the back of the units provides plenty of space for services and is great if you can afford the space. A 15mm MR MDF sub top was added below the stone top to raise the counter top slightly and to provide a shadow line under between the stone the top of the drawer fronts. The sub top edge was grooved and a 15mm wide black metal T-shaped strip was pressed into the groove to finish the edge. There is a similar detail just above the legs.
To complete the kitchen we made shelves from reclaimed cheese boards on bespoke brackets, buried into the wall and commissioned a bespoke island unit that is handprinted in a contrasting colour. The worktop to the island is 6mm thick stainless steel sheet. The overall idea was to make the kitchen feel as unfitted as possible but to use standard quality components where possible.
We were able to make a separate walk-in pantry area that also houses the fridge so that almost all of the food is kept out of the kitchen. Not the most perfect kitchen triangle but it works well for us.
Feedback - for us it would have been great if there was more flexibility in mixing and matching the fronts. DIY kitchens were upgrading their spray shop so getting a bespoke colour was going to take too long. So I couldn’t get our bespoke colour direct. However this meant that I was able to customise even more and play around with sheen levels and add further bespoke touches. But other than that the DIY buying process was great. '
Chris from Bournemouth 'Whole process from start to finish including raising a few queries etc has been seamless. I have recommended DIY kitchen so many times since I bought my kitchen. Only thing I would change is 'corner posts!' Hardest bit of whole kitchen fit. Great job guys. '
Barney from Oxfordshire 'Couldn't be happier with our DIY Kitchen, with a suburb quality kitchen at a fraction of traditional high street prices.
The whole process was smooth right from the start with a selection of doors and cupboard colours sent to our door to try in the house with real lighting, simple ordering process allowing us to have the kitchen designed exactly the way we wanted with help always available via email when needed, with smooth delivery, and great aftercare delivering extra bits and pieces with ease.
Would definitely use again for the flexibility and quality of product, and great prices.'
Stephen from Durham 'We found DIY Kitchens via a web search and decided to visit the showroom and we were not disappointed.
We found the whole experience of buying from DIY Kitchens excellent from start to finish.
The welcoming staff at the showroom were very helpful in helping us choose the type of units and all of the options available to design the kitchen.
The design website was very useful to make sure we could get all of the units in the space available. Everyone who has visited us have been very impressed with the look and quality of the kitchen.'
Swati from Middlesex 'Beautiful kitchen, great quality, lots of choice and very well priced. Always receiving compliments on the colour and gloss of the doors. The combination is unique and the graphite has a beautiful subtle sparkle. The door edges are something different to the norm and give it a real wow factor.
We were looking at kitchens for ages and comparing finishes, colours and cost. We knew we wanted a combination of colours and a very modern look. We drove to the showroom and were pleasantly surprised by the size of showroom, information available and range of both finishes but more importantly sizes. The result was a great use of all the space available to us and a modern sleek look.'
Mark and Julie Cavilla 'Had nothing but positive comments about our kitchen and we are so pleased with it.'
Steve from Wakefield 'My wife and I are extremely happy with the quality of the kitchen and the service we've received. Our joiner now recommends DIY kitchens to his customers.'
Theo from Milton Keynes 'We loved the entire process! Sitting at the laptop at home with my partner and designing the kitchen was great fun. The options are excellent. It arrived as planned and I took a week off work to do it myself - my first ever kitchen installation and it was really satisfying. Saved myself a fortune in the process too. You can tell from the pictures it's a real quality kitchen and we think it looks great. It's an excellent home upgrade and a surprisingly good price; we came in well under my original estimations. Couldn't be happier.'
Mark from Ilfracombe 'I’m really happy with the way the kitchen came out. I think the petrol blue units with the white sparkle tops looks amazing. Here are some before and after pics. And afterwards as you can see I have a great view of the sea and hills of ilfracombe from my kitchen.'
Mikael & Emma from Berkshire 'Great quality kitchen. Handy it comes pre-assembled and units and doors are really good quality. Worktop ordering and fitting was an easy process also.
We’ve used DIY kitchens before on some of our development projects and will continue to do so in the future. '
Rob & Helen from Dorset 'Our builder suggested looking at your kitchen selection. We are absolutely delighted with the quality and service and love our new kitchen.'
Pat & Beth from Lincolnshire 'Here are some pics of the finished kitchen. We are really pleased with it, the units were really nice to work with and install, even the dry assembled units. This is the first kitchen I have ever fitted and was a bit of a learning curve, but the end results are worth it thank you for all your help and support through-out the process. Also the guys from Natural Stone Surfaces were really good and the job they did is superb.'
Lindsey from Pontefract 'Here are some pictures of our beautiful kitchen. The quality of the kitchen is second to none. They are affordable, stylish, sturdy and most importantly much easier and quicker to fit as they come built up. The colour choices for both the kitchens and carcasses are great.
I heard about DIY kitchens from my brother who had bought his kitchen from them. We own a property rental company and therefore have a more frequent requirement for kitchens than most, it's fair to say that we will definitely use DIY Kitchens for our next upgrade!'
Wayne & Sarah from Market Harborough 'The overall impression of the kitchen units are that we are really pleased with them, from the online planner to the help from your CS team when I wasn't sure on certain aspects of the design. The whole process (in Lockdown) was seamless and allowed us to get our dream kitchen. Having used another supplier in the past, being able to plan & design directly myself was joyful.'
Bev from Gloucester 'Absolutely love my new kitchen. Excellent quality (confirmed by my fitters), extraordinary value for money. So much choice. Fantastic planner to create and play around with your design. Brilliant extra features. '
Corrin from Whitehaven 'I ordered Cento in Cashmere, extremely well made and easily fitted by myself. Cabinets were exact colour of doors so could have done without the added side panels but they did make the finished look more of an expensive look. I came by DIY kitchens by accident, Google search, I have recommended DIY kitchens to everyone.'
Kayleigh & Stephen from Paisley 'We explored many (MANY!) options for our kitchen and had quotes from a few different suppliers before hearing about DIY Kitchens and I'm so glad we held out. Attending kitchen suppliers can be an exciting experience but it's also very easy to get wrapped up in the whole experience and leave feeling like - "did I really make that decision or was it made for me?" and when you're spending a large amount of money that's not a good feeling to have.
With the DIY Kitchens model I was able to use the online tool to create several different designs and take our time to decide on what worked best for us, as well as having advice from the team on practice ideas or changes we could make. In the end we have a great quality kitchen for a fraction of the price of everywhere else we looked. Our joiner was apprehensive at first as they had never heard of DIY Kitchens but he couldn't believe the price when we told him and how great the quality was. I have sang the praises of this company since day 1 and will continue to do so! Thank you!
I am an avid Instagrammer and loved looking through blogs and posts of renovations when we purchased our house which was also a renovation project. I saw many positive reviews of DIY Kitchens online before purchasing our own and that was a big part of our decision to purchase.'
Debbie from Cambridgshire 'In 2016 we ordered a kitchen from your company. I meant to leave a review once it was fitted as we were so pleased with it but never got round to it. Five years later and we the kitchen is as lovely as it was when it was fitted. The cabinets and fixtures are so well made they are still in pristine condition with no breakages or wobbly drawers. The bin cupboard, pull out trays and pan drawers all run smoothly and are as good as new despite plenty of use. The wooden island worktop was also ordered from you and is excellent quality. I made a couple of mistakes with my original order and the after sales support at the time was also straight forward and helpful. If anyone reading this is unsure about whether to place an order I would say don’t hesitate, as long as you have a good kitchen fitter lined up. '
Ray from Somerset 'We are thrilled with our new kitchen. We had a slight concern when receiving quotes, as DIY Kitchens were coming in a lot cheaper than other recognised high street kitchen suppliers.
We need'nt have worried - the whole process from placing the order to receiving the kitchen was absolutely faultless - I really have nothing negative to say about this company. Their product is extremely well priced and the quality is excellent - really is faultless.
A bonus for me was that the units come ready built - all you have to do is put them on the wall and fit the doors - could not be simpler.
We had the high gloss finish and we we knocked out with the finished kitchen. I have been recommending DIY Kitchens to all my friends and family ever since our new installation. Try them you won't be disappointed.'
Bridget & Paul from Plymouth 'These are pictures from our kitchen bought in November 2020. Excellent quality and half the price of store showrooms, which allowed us to buy top quality appliances. Good customer service too and our neighbour recommended on line kitchens, so we Googled the range we wanted and saw that DIY Kitchens had exactly what we wanted.'
Ian from Rotherham 'Here are the pictures I have of my kitchen transformation. Cento kitchen with bellato grey worktops. Excellent product, thank you for all your help I'm over the moon.'
Scott from Kent 'As a carpenter I designed and fitted this kitchen myself and it is the best kitchen I have fitted by far. I especially like that the tall larders with the pull outs come fully made including drawers. All the units came pre made and are very solid unlike some other kitchen companies. I heard about diy kitchens from a friend of mine who is a joiner and also bought from you.'
Elisa from Hertfordshire 'Here are some pictures of our DIY kitchen, purchased last year. We heard about you from a family member who has purchased a kitchen from you in the past.'
Josephine from Norwich 'I'm very happy with my Altino petrol blue kitchen. The units are sturdy and easy to keep clean, love the soft close (although watch out for little paws in drawers!) and the colour is perfect. I've accented it with orange and get lots of compliments. My fitter was also very impressed and said it's one of the best quality he has fitted. I heard about DIY kitchens on an Internet forum and would definitely recommend - although double check your measurements! '
Ewart from London 'Pictures of my new kitchen. I was very pleased with the outcome.'
Roger from Garstang 'We are extremely happy with the quality and price of the kitchen and visitors are wowed by its design and look. My kitchen fitter said he felt guilty charging me to fit it due to the units being fully built it was so simple to install. We heard about DIY kitchens from our architect who drew the kitchen extension plans.'
Eva from Bristol 'Hi, I'm sharing these pics as I found it really useful seeing real kitchens when I was researching, and i'm really happy with my end result! I am so in love with it all!'
Karen from Nottinghamshire 'Here are some photos of our Utility Room which we upgraded last August
We were very impressed with the sample service which we used initially. To be able to see a selection of samples in different colours made us confident we have chosen the right colour and style of door. They also showed us how good quality the doors are. We then went ahead and ordered the units, handles and work top and were not disappointed when just a few weeks later they all arrived as promised.
Our kitchen fitter was very impressed with the quality of the cupboards and that the cabinets were already built. The white bottle unit was designed by myself using your cupboard ends and built to my specification by the kitchen fitter.
On placing the order I was very impressed that a member of your staff contacted me to ask if the order was correct, as these panel ends did not seem to fit with the bulk of the kitchen order. The cupboards fronts are easy to wipe down and the soft shut is a pleasure to see in action.
I feel that the both the cupboards and the doors are all of an excellent quality and I see no reason why they should not last for many years.
We already had all the white goods from our previous utility room and did not need to replace them, so we wanted to build a kitchen around them. We felt using a white, cream or light grey colour would have made the kitchen bland with all the white goods too. So we decided to go bold and chose the Cobham Blue to make a statement and impact with the white goods and we are not disappointed.
We love the colour Cobham Blue it is stunning and we have had so many compliments and our cat Dylan loves his new bedroom too!'
Angela from Cardiff 'Here are some mages of the completed kitchen. Overall, we've been really satisfied with the products and customer support.'
Sue from Essex 'So pleased with my new kitchen. Thank you so much for all your support through the whole process. After sales were excellent!'
Vicky from Warwick 'I love my new kitchen! The colour is exactly what I ordered and the quality second to none. It’s very functional, having a corner base unit and a shelf unit to keep my cook books tidy. The whole process, from designing to ordering was fairly easy and the after sales service amazing! I found out the DIY-Kitchens from a friend and I have already recommended them to friends and family. Overall, it’s value for money!'
John & Jason from Somerset 'We would like you to share our new kitchen and utility room, by DIY-Kitchens, which we are thrilled with. '
Steve from Durham 'I found DIY kitchens during a Google search and found the website full of detailed information and prices very reasonable. So ordered my new kitchen. Delivery was as stated, drivers were really friendly and could not have been more helpful.
My wife did not want white units or doors, so went for a dark grey carcasses with Dove grey gloss doors and drawers, and it looks fabulous! I did have to modify the oven housing, to take an AEG oven, as the back was in the way but that was easy, and our sink position meant mods, but not the cupboards fault!
Originally, the room was the dining room, so no old kitchen to show but the odd space is now far better utilised. Overall, wound up with a mega classy kitchen and have recommended DIY Kitchens to others. '
Luke From Essex 'Here are three photos of our kitchen
Excellent quality of the units, robust, smoothly operating drawers, handles were actually made from your panels hence so many finishing elements on my orders. Appliances, tap, sing & marble worktop where ordered from separate manufacturers. '
Ann & Derek From Co Durham 'The kitchen purchased from DIY kitchens is the best on the market. We looked at lots of kitchen suppliers before visiting the showroom in Pontefract twice. The quality, design and workmanship of the product was the best we found on the market. The price to quality was exceptional.
We also found the process of choosing our style, design and colour of kitchen easy with helpful staff and after sales service second to none. The showroom is great having loads and loads of kitchen types to choose from and samples of doors, worktops, cabinets and colours. The base unit and wall unit samples showing the mechanisms and cut aways gave a great view of how the units would work, fit and look when installed.
We had a couple of issues with transit damages and these were sorted very quickly. Your after sales team members were always helpful, professional and polite. Your delivery guys also were very helpful and polite when delivering the product.
We mixed a couple of different design styles and colours of kitchen types and this worked out well as can be seen in the pics.
We chose both Altino Alabaster gloss with Luca Cobham Blue and this made a fantastic contrast with our chosen coloured walls and kitchen accessories and worktop. We had some bespoke items from yourselves and they were built to provide additional storage around the boiler and radiator area and purchased some extra wooden cutlery trays.
I installed the kitchen for my parents and the product instructions and assembly details were top notch and the build was easy.
The door specification, quality and thickness especially of the Altino system is great, especially when other suppliers charge a premium for the same spec that we ordered from DIY kitchens. The Cobham Blue colour and quality of cabinets and doors is really good too. The units were also of high quality and again fitted together well and were easy to install.
My mother and father decided to go with DIY kitchens for the order, because of the above reasons and recommendations from me and viewing my own DIY kitchen. '
Rachel from Liverpool 'Completed kitchen pictures. Carrera Matt Cobham Blue & Dove Grey'
Donna from Pontefract 'I ordered this kitchen for my nursery. We have three rooms within the nursery and I am so pleased with this kitchen that I am awaiting delivery of another order to replace the kitchens in my other two nursery rooms!
The style is simple yet stylish and looks a million times better than our previous setup. It’s easy to keep clean and will stay stylish for years to come.
I used DIY Kitchens as they are a local company close to the nursery and I like to support other local businesses. From help in the showroom, to delivery and to customer service where needed the company have been great. Thankyou DIY Kitchens. '
Peter from Kent 'I'm so pleased with the quality of the kitchen, the individual units come fully assembled so all you have to do is fit them to the wall and adjust the legs which again were good quality. I chose soft close door hinges and the kitchen really does have that quality feel throughout that others would pay thousands of pounds more for on the high street. I don't know why anyone would buy their kitchen anywhere else.'
Barbara from London 'Please find attached photos of finished kitchen. We are very pleased with the kitchen - it is of beautiful quality and is everything we could have wished for. Our order was for the units only - we purchased accessories and worktops elsewhere. We would certainly recommend DIY kitchens - the experience and service has been excellent.'
David & Rebecca from Bath 'Our first kitchen renovation in our first home! We wanted to find a cheaper way to get a bespoke kitchen, and couldn't believe all the options available to us from DIY kitchens.
Our fitter commented on the high quality of the units and all the fixings, and we are so happy with the end result.
We found DIY kitchens on a discussion forum on moneysavingexpert.com, and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive. We felt like this was the perfect way to create our new kitchen! '
Julie From Southampton '
I found DIY kitchens through social media, paid a visit to their showroom, which was a very long day out but well worth it to see all the fabulous ranges.
Ordering the kitchens from DIY kitchens was really simple (other than me changing my mind on things a few times) as I had already planned out with the help of my friendly fitter. The bespoke colour matching really made the difference as I knew I wanted something a little different and something that was personal to me.
The quality of the units is excellent, a really good standard for the price point and I have been so pleased with the quartz worktop, from a painless installation to now have a easy to clean and use kitchen. I just wish I had done it sooner!
Lily the cat loves sitting on top of the fridge (as you can see) and I see my children far more now they can sit in the kitchen! '
Andy from Kent 'In all of my nearly 40 years of experience, this is the most satisfying installation I have ever done. The units were exactly as ordered and the quality is just superb. The attention to detail carried out by the team in the factory is excellent with only small adjustments necessary on occasion to have everything running perfectly, well done DIY Kitchens.
I first heard of DIY Kitchens when my brother built his own house, since then this is the 4th kitchen I have installed for the family and they have all been a pleasure to do. '
Paul & Becky from Norwich 'We had a small dark kitchen with a separate dining room and wanted to open it up to create a more spacious, brighter work area. After receiving quotes from builders and a well known high street kitchen manufacturer that were almost as much as the price we paid for the house (albeit 25 years ago), we decided to tackle the job ourselves. We checked out several suppliers and the big DIY warehouses but, after doing a Google search for kitchen suppliers, chose DIY kitchens because of the positive reviews and good choice of styles and colours.
After experimenting with several layouts on the computer (the unit dimensions on the DIY Kitchens website made it easy to create them in Google Sketchup), we ordered all the units and worktops, which arrived just before the lockdown. Not being able to get materials, or specialist trades people like electricians or flooring layers, meant the job took far longer than it would normally have done but we are finally finished (bar a few paint touch-ups etc.).
The odd damaged or missing item on the order was quickly replaced by DIY Kitchens without any quibble, and the fact that the units came ready assembled saved quite a bit of time. An offset of the worktop was used to make a small matching cafe-style table with the addition of a cast metal base - a lovely place to sit and have a coffee while the cakes are baking. The new kitchen has totally transformed our house, and has received ‘Wows’ from all who have seen in. Strangely, one of the most commented on features are the copper effect handles, which are really set off by the anthracite doors and drawer fronts, and were very reasonably priced.
If you are a reasonably competent DIYer we would have no hesitation in recommending that you go to DIY Kitchens. If you’re not comfortable taking the job on yourself, buy the units from DIY Kitchens and get a local fitter/builder in to fit them. Either way you will save a packet and end up with a kitchen to be proud of.'
Stephanie from Carmanthenshire 'Here are some pictures of our completed kitchen. Thank you for all your help in the design, order and after sales. '
Mike from Devon 'Quality of kitchen units were very good, very happy with everything.'
Aparna from Hertfordshire 'The process of buying a kitchen from DIY Kitchens has been fantastic, we had already gone with another highstreet retailer and paid an advance to them. But, with them I knew I was making some compromises.
By chance I stumbled upon DIY kitchens and I really liked the concept of designing my own kitchen. We are South Indian and use various types of beans, lentils, different flours etc, so loved the walk-in larder.
The main reason to go for DIY kitchens was that I could customise the entire kitchen to my needs. The kitchen came all assembled and it was so easy to assemble. Good quality kitchen, without costing an arm and a leg.'
Pat & Richard from Sheffield 'Some pictures of our kitchen, which we installed ourselves.
We are pleased with the quality and any issues we've had have been quickly sorted.
DIY kitchens were recommend by our nephew.'
Simon from Eversley 'Excellent quality units at a good price. Found you with a search engine.'
Craig & Lisa from Cheshire '
We are really happy with our new kitchen! We love it! The quality of the ready made units and the finish of the doors is fantastic and overall it's given us the look of the open plan kitchen/diner/lounge we were after (we had a wall knocked down for this!) We certainly felt like we made a decent saving by using an online kitchen company opposed to a high street giant.
We were told about DIY kitchens by two seperate sets of friends, both had their kitchens from you, they thoroughly recommended them, so we thought we would give it a try and we are so glad we did!
The grid you sent with the pack helped us to work out what we could comfortably fit into our space and this was definitely the bit we were most daunted by! But our builder helped check and double check our choices so that really helped.
We've had loads of nice comments from family and friends and it's completely transformed the way our whole family live (That's Hugo in the pic 2.5 yrs) So a happy family :)'
Rob from Leeds 'Here are some kitchen pics. There's a before, during and after shots. Still pleased with the quality of the units a year on. All working well and running smooth. '
Elaine from Lancashire 'We love our kitchen, everything is good quality, looks expensive although was very competitively prices, we love the colour and the wood worktop is striking!
The service we received when looking around the showroom was fantastic and lots of advice when ordering! The after sales was also excellent and any queries answered immediately! We would have and will continue to recommend diy kitchens!
We heard about you via our builder, he also recommended we look around the showroom, we did and it was well worth the couple of hours drive to it.'
David from Deptford 'Quality of doors and units - excellent. Will definitely use again (although I am retired. I installed this kitchen in my daughter's flat.
The before pictures are tagged by date as they were taken on a phone. The after pictures were taken with a fish-eye lens (with some stitching as the kitchen is VERY small). The new kitchen is slightly larger than before as a cloakroom was incorporated.
The sink is mounted on an adapted oven housing to fit in the space and the vertical pull-out was cut down to fit the available width for a spice rack.
'
Su from East Grinstead 'I have attached four photos plus an old one. We had a wall from the dining room to the kitchen removed which opened up the feel of the kitchen completely as well as blocking in the window and door which was in the corner. The floor space is the same but it feels so much more now. The hob, sink and fridge are in the same locations as before, but by moving the oven and getting two ovens located next to the fridge freezer enabled me to have the pan drawers under the hob.
We opted for plain units, as I do not like dust catcher ridges and my husband wanted green, we also chose a lighter interior. We only purchased the units and fridge freezer, from yourselves, we sourced the Corian work tops and other items elsewhere. We are very pleased with the quality of the units. You were recommended to us by a friend who has rental properties and has used you more than once for the refurbishments of the properties. The downside for us is that you have to know exactly what you want so we did not get it all correct first time.
As well as being a lovely kitchen we definitely saved money with you.'
Greg from Kent 'Hi, I thought I'd send these photos, as the kitchen turned out really well. The quality is good and I'm really glad I went for the painted finish, as it's versatile, and I made an error which required the larder unit to be modified, which we were able to do as I'd ordered some paint for an mdf panel which finishes the side of the wine rack.
I'm glad I went for the curved units and also the curved corner posts, which I thought were somewhat overpriced, but lovely softening details they are.
Good array of options and good service, very happy overall, the kitchen is fantastic and a pleasure to use.'
Peter from London 'I was left in no doubt it was solid wood after getting it up three flights of stairs, but you can really tell the difference. Everything is excellent quality, super smooth and feels built to last. My friend got one and we shamelessly copied them.'
Elaine from Doncaster 'Very impressed with DIYK and the quality of units.
Staff couldn't be more helpful and were extremely patient with the number of times I visited and revamped my design.
I had a few teething problems with the finish on a couple of doors but they were soon rectified in a professional manner.
Would highly recommend DIYK. My fitter was also very impressed and said they were the best units he had ever fitted.
'
Aga from Penarth 'So pleased with my Carrera Bespoke kitchen! We were beyond impressed with everything from packaging to quality of carcasses, finish, hinges and overall neatness of the product.
The pre assembled units as standard were a total winner, we have never done it before yet we were able to install everything ourselves in just a few days. Style/finish wise I ordered tonnes of samples before making my decision (unfortunately we live too far away to visit the showroom!) and I’d recommend the same to all future kitchen owners, it was an eye opener that helped my initial vision of the kitchen crystallise.
I’ve decided to create a minimalistic, modern, floor to ceiling kitchen so I went for bespoke painted, matt finish in 3 different colours, it was a risky move but it worked a treat! ‘Go bold or go home’ they say! ;)
Service wise DIY kitchens' staff were great, very professional, swift at communication, minor problems were easily resolved. I’ve been singing their praises to everyone already which I’m sure is going to generate them more business. And if I ever take on another project I’ll absolutely be coming back for another quality kitchen.
Colours used were Carbon, Light Grey & RAL5009 Azurblau (The blue island)'
Miles from Cheltenham 'The service provided was excellent, all problems were quickly resolved.
The units themselves were of similar quality to other units that family members have purchased from another company who also use Egger board construction. Theirs however were 3 times the price!
The unit build quality was great and the delivery service also very good.
For my kitchen we achieved the floor to ceiling look by cutting down the 150mm legs on a saw. We then routed out the base units to accommodate an Ostermann handless rail profile under the worktop as can be seen. This means no handles are required. The units also have Blum Tip on drilled into them to allow push to open to be available.
The draw fronts were cut down and re-edge banded so that a rail could be housed in between the the bottom and middle draw. This means there are also no handles required on the drawers.
For the worktops, my budget couldn’t stretch to Dekton in the end so I used zenith laminate. Splashbacks in grey with changeable colour led strip lighting housed behind a strip of cornice.
The only thing I would change is the oven cupboards. There is no need for the small door front under the oven if the top cupboard had been made slightly larger this would not be needed.'
Steve from East Sussex 'The overall impression that the replacement kitchen gives is one of very clean and simple lines and offer a bang-up-to-date appearance, smart and classy while having not depleted the bank account. With a top quality sink set into the Duropal worktop this looks like a considerably more expensive kitchen than it was. Very pleasing and the units certainly come with a high recommendation. The joy of pre-assembled cabinets and fitments cannot be over emphasised! It makes the kitchen a joy to fit.
The range of units you offer plus the ease of use of the website meant I wasn’t interested in trying any other supplier.'
Ian from Woking 'Carrera grey kitchen, fitted by myself. Excellent quality units, solid, great finish.'
Darren from Benwick 'I enjoyed the fact that I was able to totally design my own kitchen. The website was easy to use and showed all the kitchen combinations in detail. The ordering process was easy and the after order service - excellent! Delivery was when arranged and professional and the fact all units were built was a nice little bonus. I had help in fitting the kitchen and the end result is so much better than we ever imagined. DIY Kitchens was recommended to me by a friend and I would recommend them to anyone else I know - the products and service in my opinion are second to none. '
Chris & Jenny from Epworth 'When the kitchen arrived the delivery drivers took great care unloading it and were very courteous. Everything arrived very well packaged / protected. The fact that all doors, drawers etc arrive already fitted to the units not only saved time but also made it easier to identify each unit and were it was to be fitted.
As I fitted the kitchen myself (never fitted one before!) these little things made the job much simpler. The units themselves are very well put together using quality component (drawer slides, hinges & mechanisms).
Our doors are the Luca integrated handle style which we chose for their clean lines, the handle groove is deeper than some we had seen making them easy to open. The paint finish is fantastic and gives the kitchen a lovely quality feel.
We heard of DIY kitchens through a family member who had visited your showroom and recommended we take a look. It was helpful to see so many different styles and kitchen layouts in one place and all the staff were helpful. '
Andrew from Bradford 'I have attached some photos of the finished kitchen that you are welcome to use on your website.'
Clare from West Kirby 'The units are from DIY kitchens in Carrera Sage. We love the calming colour of the Carrera Sage units. They are easy to keep clean and we liked that the colour and design was different to most kitchens you see on display while still combining easily with appliance, worktop and floor options.
The units and fittings are well made and everyone who sees them thinks we have spent a fortune on the kitchen.'
Lara from Bristol 'Thank you so much for all your support when planning my kitchen. I’m not sure how many times I made ‘tweaks’, but thank you for the support when I did so.
We are over the moon with the final kitchen, great quality and easy to fit. Here some pictures of the outcome.'
Mike & Janet from Addingham 'Photos of our finished kitchen that we are entirely delighted with.
Please pass on our thanks to all the staff for a first rate job from order to delivery. Please thank Jon in the sales room who patiently helped with my original order and my subsequent request for a few more items that I had failed to request originally.
All our friends are greatly impressed with the finished result and are amazed when they find out that we didn’t buy from a high street showroom and saved a fortune by buying from DIY Kitchens!'
Gabriela from Luton 'Here are some pictures of my diy kitchen I just finished yesterday!'
Martha from Holfirth 'Just wanted to send you some photos of our finished kitchen, which we are thrilled with. Feel free to share!
Our joiner fits a lot of kitchens but hasn't come across your company before. He is really impressed with the quality of the units and the service we have received and is very likely to recommend you to his other customers from now on.
Great service!
Thanks'
Wendy from Tullibody 'Some pictures of my newly installed kitchen from DIY Kitchens, great quality and great to deal with.'
Tracy from West Midlands 'Our kitchen. April 2017
We are thrilled with how it turned our. Great quality and great customer service. Have recommended to several friends. We found DIY kitchens just through google search. We took a ride up to showroom Aug bank hols 2016 to look at a driftwood style kitchen. Saw a kitchen on display cento wenge. This is the result
The chairs are called Eames (repro) chairs and we got them from an online company called Pash living.'
Claire from Manchester 'I am really pleased with my choice of LUCA MATT - CARBON for base and CASHMERE for wall units, the backsplash, and worktop LAMBRATE laminate.
Great price and value. Lovely quality kitchen. Excellent support from the team to help me to plan the kitchen myself. I felt I was able to ask any questions via email (even obvious stuff I just needed reassurance about).
Due to the wide range of sizes and styles I was able to get the most from my small kitchen, which was important to me.
The door sample service is really useful too. Everything seemed really intuitive and easy to understand. '
Rebecca from Norfolk 'Thanks for all your help. Our son is about to order his kitchen from you.'
Lee from Seaford 'I am pleased to include some pictures of our completed kitchen.
The kitchen units, worktops and the appliances we purchased were of a very high quality. Our kitchen fitter was also impressed with the build quality of the product. We found DIY Kitchens when searching on-line during the planning stage for our kitchen. I have also included a picture of our dog Buzz who also loves our new kitchen.'
John from Beckenham 'See attached some pictures of my new Grey Matt Luca handless kitchen. We are so pleased with this. Great kitchen, great price, great quality. Thanks. Feel free to upload to your social channels. '
Jade from Gloucester 'Hi DIY Kitchens! I thought I would share with you the kitchen that has been designed with your wonderful products! I'm so pleased with the look and have nothing but endless wonderful comments about the space we've created!
I've attached some photos and also linked to my blog too. I'm going to post about the excellent customer service received form you and the team next week as my readers are really keen to hear more! '
Fleur from Taplow 'I'm really pleased with my new kitchen - the quality (outstanding), service and delivery (exceptional).
I attach a couple of pics so that you can see how I have integrated it within my existing brown wooden kitchen. Previously the kitchen was all brown which i found depressing. By replacing the base units with diy-kitchens white ones, new Duropal worktop, Franke 1.5 bowl white sink, and 2 new white venetian blinds to replace 2 brown ones, the mix works really well. I am so pleased. Anything that is not perfect about it was in the fitting, not the units!
'
Karen from Normanton 'We heard about DIY kitchens from the daughter of our Architect who was drawing up the plans for our new kitchen extension. We love the modern look of cento oak but wanted a warm feel and therefore teamed it up with brown/cream veined quartz worktops and brown & cream accessories.'
Nina from Grantham 'Our experience was very positive, after visiting another kitchen company who started off with a quote at £18k which then dropped to £10k we decided to look around.
My brother in law recommended DIY, we visited the showroom met with Josh who was really helpful and gave us a great insight into the ordering process. We were shocked with how reasonable the quote was which then allowed us to upgrade our laminate worktops to 30ml granite.
The quality of the kitchen is fantastic, so easy to assemble and delivered all ready together. '
Nicola from Lancs 'Finally, after taking 4 weeks to find the right tiles we are done. Absolutely love it! Thank you! '
Peter & Jo from Guildford 'We are really delighted with our new kitchen. We kept it simple and white and after much deliberation chose the Blanco Zeus Extreme Silestone for our counter tops, which is more expensive than some, but gives a lovely clean, crisp finish. Customer service before and after was excellent, and the whole kitchen seemed extremely good value for money. We particularly love the pan drawers and the two undercounter cupboards with pull-out wire baskets, which are really good quality, very robust and glide effortlessly in and out.
We fitted the kitchen ourselves and so were able to adapt things a little as we went - we added plinth drawers, having ordered some extra drawer fronts, and we added an internal drawer in the space above the bins in the pull out bin cupboard which has worked really well - perhaps that could be a design feature DIY kitchens could incorporate in the future.
We also changed the doors on the top cupboards of the towers. We got rid of the fillers and just had bigger doors instead, and made them so that they opened to the side rather than opening upwards. Not only did this give us more usable cupboard space but it also prevented the doors crashing against the ceiling every time we opened them, and then needing a chair to close them because we couldn’t reach them - that did seem to be a bit of a flaw in their design!
The one big mistake in our design was not thinking carefully enough about which way the cupboard doors should open, we were able to change a couple but not all, so really think through how your kitchen will work. We feel we’ve got a really modern, quality kitchen for considerably less than the other mid-range kitchens we investigated - and the quality is noticeably higher than most of those we were quoted for. We had never heard of DIY kitchens until a chance conversation, but now recommend them highly to anyone thinking about changing their kitchen.
'
Trudie from Sandhurst 'Overall Impressions: Solid, stylish, easy to install. I installed a DIY Kitchen in my own home 7/8 Years ago and it still looks as good as new. '
Tony from Cardiff 'The quality of the units is up there with the high end standard of kitchens that you would find in most Independent kitchen retailers. Construction is solid - pre assembled with glued dowels (not cam fixings like most DIY stores) and the components for hinges, drawers ect are made by either Blum, Kessebohmer or Hafele (all good quality industry recognised manufacturers).
The DIY kitchens website it most user friendly - easy to navigate and lots of useful tips and downloads - including the kitchen planner which is really helpful in allowing you to cut and lay out a plan of your kitchen.
Ordering was easy - including ability to order in advance and stipulate delivery date (I ordered when there was a promotion discounting 10% off doors) Items were delivered as scheduled (two man delivery chosen as some items are very heavy when assembled) - very very well wrapped and protected (no damage whatsoever on any of the units from transportation - which considering the volume of components ordered this is very rare in this day and age!)
Our fitter commented on the quality of the units and could not believe the price we paid for them - especially as we went for painted doors and complementary painted end panels.
Only snags we encountered was that a few of the doors were manufactured a couple of mm too wide/high. The aftercare team were superb in dealing with our issues, apologised unreservedly and arranged a courier delivery for the replacements.
We did not buy any of our electricals from DIY kitchens as we wanted Neff appliances which DIY kitchens no longer stock. We also decided to go for a solid surface worktop (Minerva) as Granite/Silestone was beyond our budget and we wanted something a bit different to laminate (the welded joins on the solid surface worktop are amazing and invisible to the naked eye)
Overall I am really pleased with the decision to buy our kitchen from DIY kitchens - yes you need to investigate fully to know what you are buying and yes you need to spend some time in researching and planning the lay out of the kitchen. I would not hesitate recommend DIY kitchens for both the quality of their end product and the pre and after sales service they provide. '
Stewart from Tockwith 'The kitchen is very solidly made and has a good quality finish (Grey looks great!). Basically, it looks like it cost many times more than it actually did. Getting all the units pre-built also saved a lot of time/money/effort on fitting the kitchen and brought the install time down considerably.'
Clare from Bristol 'I was very pleased with the quality of the kitchen we ordered. It was very sturdy and finished better than ones we saw on the high street. The range of base units available was vast and let me customise our kitchen design to be exactly what we wanted, and it was very good value. Both before and after sales service was friendly and helpful, and the delivery drivers were great too. I'll be recommending DIY Kitchens to friends and family in the future.'
Sharon from Coventry 'Very pleased with quality of kitchen and beautiful subtle grey glossy slab doors. Nice little touch to add in tea and biscuits with order :-} May move in ourselves - have fitted this out for tenants!'
Steven from Chesterfield 'Altino White & Graphite - Overall impression of the kitchen is great. Unit doors are finished nice, all fittings were of good quality. We Love the way it looks and the options available meant we could cater for our bespoke needs perfectly.'
Pete from Devon 'Kitchen looks brilliant, the units are of high quality, sturdy and made very well and being delivered already assembled, which is a bonus. Easy to fit too and the customer service team were very helpful in the whole process from ordering to delivery, best price on the market too for such high quality'
Mark from Whitfield 'Please find attached kitchen photos of my Altino graphite kitchen.'
Dave from Leeds 'The finished kitchen is 4.5m x 4.8m with island and granite worktops.'
Shaista from Bolton 'I was very concerned at first about ordering online. I went into the showroom in Yorkshire and was very impressed. I read a lot of customers reviews and I decided to go ahead. Best decision I made. I love my kitchen and would highly recommend diy kitchens.
I would recommend ordering a sample of the door so you can look at it at different times of the day and get a feel of the colour and finish. I am getting lots of wows from friends and family on the colour scheme. Exceptional quality.
'
Peter from Birmingham 'We are very pleased with our new kitchen units. The units arrived on time and were very well packaged. Our builder who assembled them didn't seem to have any problems with fitting them and we have not had any problems with them since they were fitted about 6 months ago. Prior to ordering the units we visited the showroom which we would certainly recommend to anyone considering ordering a kitchen.
The staff there were very friendly and gave us some very helpful advice on what parts we needed to order. Our builder fitted colour change lighting around the units which we think brings a different ambience to the kitchen in the evening and also fitted lights in the cupboard units which are very useful.
The ordering process takes some time to do but it did save us money compared to other quotes we had from other suppliers. The only hitch we had was a delay in delivering our worktop which delayed us a for a couple of weeks but we have been really pleased with the worktop since it has been fitted.
Our builder mentioned DIY Kitchens to us as worth looking at as he had fitted their kitchens previously and said they seemed good quality and were competitively priced.
'
James from Huddersfield '(Altino Graphite & Light Grey) Heard from DIY Kitchens from a work colleague and must admit was put off by the name, which for some reason suggested inferiority to me. How wrong we were.
We made the trip to the showroom and were blown away. You have certainly got it right from the showroom ambience, the number of displays, the extensive range and choice, the attentive but NOT pushy sales guys and the self-serve refreshments-Ingenious.
We visited 4 times to ensure we were happy with our choice and were dealt with by Oliver each time-Nothing was too much for this lad and his suggestions were invaluable, he is a credit to your company!
We have raved and continue to do so about your product. Now it is in and almost complete, it speaks volumes for itself and certainly delivers the WOW factor for everyone that visits us. We did loads of research prior to finding you and can honestly say that you stand head and shoulders above the competition. For anyone deterred by ordering on line, spend time preparing and get yourself organised with your plan and requirements and get your order loaded - If we can do it, anyone can! Delivery was on time as agreed and all product was well packaged and arrived un damaged and 100% complete. What more can I say!?
'
Steve from Nuneaton 'Altino alabaster, with silestone Kensho Quartz tops. The kitchen fitter whom I have known a long time was dubious when I told him I had ordered it online. After fitting he said he was very impressed and said it was one of the best quality kitchens he had fitted. Praise indeed! And I agree. '
Ivo from Essex 'Please find attached some photos of the recent kitchen island installation we did at home. We are very pleased with the supplied units. They look fantastic and we get a lot of compliments from friends and family. '
Roy from Norfolk 'Attached pictures of recently completed kitchen.
This is the fourth order we have had from DIY Kitchens and the third full kitchen we have fitted using your units, appliances etc.
We like the fact that we can get odd sized units from you, in most of the ranges.
There are a huge variety of styles and colours to choose from. The units come pre-assembled and are good quality. The appliances and handles are priced competitively. Your help and support systems have improved immensely since we last ordered from you.
'
Ray from Melksham 'We have recently installed our new kitchen, replacing one that was 30 years old. The units and doors were supplied by DIY Kitchens and are high gloss graphite and light grey from the Altino range. The worktops are Duropol glacial storm and the floor is oak engineered timber
We discovered DIY Kitchens during a Google search for kitchen suppliers after receiving quotations from B&Q, Wickes and Magnet etc. DIY was the cheapest and appeared to offer the best quality and range. This was confirmed by a trip to the factory showroom near Barnsley (a round trip of over 500 miles)
We installed the kitchen ourselves without a hitch. All the units were supplied as ordered, well packed and undamaged. One door that had a slight manufacturing defect was replaced by DIY Kitchens without issue.
We are very pleased with our new kitchen and would recommend DIY Kitchens without hesitation.'
Ceri from Middlesex 'Please find enclosed the photos of your kitchen units installed in our new extension. Delighted with the quality, and delivery of the units. No local companies could match the quality and price we were quoted by DIY Kitchens. '
Pattie from Essex 'Kitchen was completed on 23rd December. Excellent delivery, excellent quality, excellent finish, excellent after sales service and you introduced me to Yorkshire tea. Great job, many thanks. '
Claire from Hants 'We are very pleased with the kitchen thank you. My sister recommended you and you haven't disappointed. We love the final look, just what we had in our minds and our fitter loved the fact that when you said the units came fully assembled they really were FULLY assembled. I think both him and us will be recommending you to others now. Thank you to the customer care team too, you dealt with all my pre-sales questions and any after sales niggles or changes very quickly indeed, all resulting in my perfect kitchen.'
Mike from Lincs 'Hi there, pictures of my kitchen attached. Absolutely thrilled with it. All built by me (except work tops!) '
Donna from Birstall '(Altino in Graphite and Champagne) Hi I have recently sent you some photos of my new kitchen which I purchased from yourselves in August and would like them in the gallery for people to see.'
Barry & Anne from Watford '
We have finally completed our kitchen installation which we ordered from you in July.
We used you the previous year when my Mum's house was flooded and needed a new kitchen and were so impressed with the quality of the units we came back to you when replacing our own following a recent move.
Our choice of Style was Carrera Painted Alabaster with Boss Bar handles and included appliance doors for two under unit fridges and a Magic corner Vauth Sagal unit which works very well around our bin and freezer.
The worktop is starlight grey quartz and was sourced locally.
Many Thanks again to all involved as I know I made a few last minute changes which were dealt with very quickly and fairly.
Needless to say I would not hesitate to recommend you to others.'
Mr & Mrs Burnett from Fife 'Here is some pictures of our installed kitchen we bought from you. I have added 2 previous kitchen pictures.
Overall we are extremely happy with the kitchen and service we received from DIY-kitchens. The compliments we have had have been amazing from everybody. We will no longer buy from large chain companies who sell kitchens?
I have one thing i would like to point out. The large 1000 wall units we purchased do sag with weight in them. When i finished all the finishing's on the wall units and populated them they sagged in the middle making the finishing's uneven all round the units. I found this a little frustrating to look at so had to do a little moving around of heavy items items such a plates etc, to other units to compensate this. Maybe the designers can look at strengthening the units in some way to alleviate this. Thicker carcase or something to that effect. I would not purchase this type of unit again for these reasons.
I will finish with we would definitely buy from DIY Kitchens again and cannot fault the service we received. A beautiful kitchen that we are very happy with. Designed and Fitted by myself.'
UMAR from Leicester 'This Cento Oak kitchen cost me £2133 for the units. The Duropal worktop was an additional £303 but I bought this from a 3rd party supplier and I paid a carpenter £160 to get the cuts done.
The kitchen units arrived on the specified date at 7pm and I had 48 hours to check it out. The free Yorkshire teabags and biscuits were a pleasant surprise and a nice touch. The only items that were missing and highlighted by the driver were 2 cutlery trays. The shipment was well packaged and also well labelled. This helped greatly when trying to determine if everything was present.
I found one error. I had asked for the wood grain to be horizontal on the peninsula back panel but in fact it was vertical. I raised a ticked on the website and this was very promptly answered. They apologized and dispatched the correct one within a week free of charge. The system of tickets for queries is superb as it allows full trace-ability of any issue and my tickets were even answered at 8am on a Sunday. That was very reassuring and impressive.
Once I fitted the kitchen I found one issue with the final base unit. The doors were aligned but the drawers were not. I checked the squareness and found both drawer fronts were not square. Once again I raised a ticket which was answered quickly. They apologized and manufactured replacements and couriered them to me all within a week.
I have to say that the customer service was fantastic. They were very responsive and sorted out issues quickly. I think buying a kitchen is not just about price and quality of the kitchen but also the support infrastructure. DIY-kitchens have a great customer support team for pre and post sales. The kitchen itself is well built and solid and looks great but please judge for yourself from my photographs.
I would definitely used DIY-kitchens again and I do not have any hesitation to recommend them to anyone. All in all the kitchen cost me almost £2600 and the appliances and sink/tap added another £800. The plumber charged an extra £250 to plumb the sink and gas hob (and some other jobs). Overall I am very pleased and saved a lot of money by buying from DIY-kitchens.
'
Matt from Sheffield 'We found the units of extremely high quality, much better than ones we have replaced. The installation was straight forward and relatively quick, even for a first time DIY kitchen installation. I would highly recommend these units to anybody looking to save money and build their own high quality kitchen.'
Jane from Bournemouth 'Very impressed with all aspects from the sample pack, ordering, telephone support and prompt helpful delivery service. Kitchen arrived 100% complete and in perfect condition. Far superior quality compared to other kitchens we looked at in local showrooms. Found Diy Kitchens after wanting a blue colour and not finding many locally so searched online. Very glad we did as kitchen cost us less than half the price of a similar design we had quoted elsewhere. '
From Paul and Jo Swansea '
I discovered DIY Kitchens when searching on line and we love our new kitchen, it has totally transformed the room and we admire it on a daily basis. Units are solid and well-built and the doors look really classy and are very easy to keep clean.
We designed and installed the kitchen ourselves and although daunting and challenging we enjoyed the experience. We found the paper cut-out plan of the units from them very useful and it enabled us to make best use of the space that we had available.
I would recommend however that if you do use this that you order a hard copy from DIY kitchens as when we printed some additional pages from the internet our printer printed them a slightly different size which could cause problems if space is tight.
The online information and tutorials were also very helpful. When we submitted our plan, DIY kitchens kindly came back with a few suggested mods which we took on board.
We had a few post-delivery issues which were sorted out in a very efficient and professional manner.
We would definitely recommend DIY kitchens to our friends and family.?'
Vladimir from Bracknell 'Please find attached images of our kitchen. We have ordered custom colours for Carrera Painted kitchen. We saw similar design in some Scandinavian kitchens and our designer decided to combine yellow and grey. We are satisfied with the quality of all units and parts especially with the pull out larder unit. '
Margaret from Staffs 'We are thrilled with our beautiful new kitchen and would recommend DIY kitchens to everyone.
The quality of the units is fantastic, the service was brilliant and the staff extremely helpful.
The larder unit is fabulous, we do lots of cooking and entertaining and the kitchen is so easy to use and to maintain. This is our second kitchen bought from DIY-Kitchens (it didn't wear out-we moved!) which should say something. '
Claire from Essex 'I spent many months exploring the internet to locate items for my new kitchen extension; I found DIY-Kitchens and was impressed with their web site. After deciding on the style and colour I ordered a door sample to ensure I was happy before placing my order on units and accessories.
I ordered the Altino kitchen in Stone Grey, with Stone Grey carcase, with soft close doors and drawers and pull out wire baskets and Le Mans2 corner pull outs. The quality of the units was superb and the thickness and finish of the door/drawer fronts are very high quality indeed. The hinges, drawer runners, bases and pull out units/baskets are strong, good quality German engineering at its best. Although my kitchen fitter initially was cautious about my purchasing a kitchen on the internet without visiting a showroom he was very impressed with the craftsmanship and quality of the units, and said he would recommend DIY-Kitchens to customers in the future.
The ordering process was easy and the delivery was excellent.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the superb kitchen and fantastic service.
'
Jean from Earby 'Love the quality, found on the internet, all my friends and family love it and ask where we bought it '
Giles from Lewisham 'We have been very please with our DIY kitchen. It was delivered on time by two friendly delivery men. All items were well labelled. The units have a good quality feel and the overall image of the kitchen is a lot more expensive than it cost. We have recommended DIY to other friends.'
Jonathan from Epsom 'Quality of the units and doors seems very good - comparable to other major kitchen retailers but at a better price. We are very pleased with the finished result. The ordering process was complex, but customer service was very helpful, and the one hiccup on the order was quickly rectified without any fuss. Thanks, Jonathan '
Russell from Redditch 'Altino White DIY installation. Excellent pre and post sales service from friendly staff, delivered on time. All queries dealt with promptly and efficiently. Super heavy construction units with excellent fit and finish. Pre-hung door option is a 'no brainer' decision. Fantastic value for money and superb final outcome overall. Would recommend to others without hesitation.'
Valerie from London 'I have now finally been able to take pictures of the finished kitchen, please see attached. '
Vince from Pinner 'Please find attached a selection of photos of our recently installed Altino Petrol Blue kitchen, for use on the ?real kitchens' section of your website. '
Oli from Oxford 'This is an absolutely top quality kitchen and I will use you again if I ever need another kitchen. Having investigated the whole marketplace I could not help but think there must be a better quality as well as cheaper alternative for people who don't want to be 'sold' a kitchen by one of the big high street names with their inflated prices.
After a search online DIY-Kitchens were often recommended by architects who had them in their own homes. The fact that the units came fully assembled rather than flat packed was a big plus for me as well as the fact that you sell Duropal worktops which is the brand that I wanted in any case. I wanted a modern and minimal kitchen but without a gloss finish as I think matt looks better and the Carrera fitted the bill exactly. The fitter was pleased that all the extras such as plinth clips were included and I was pleased to see some touch up paint included (along with the tea and biscuits!) which will keep these units looking great for years to come.
Many thanks for the kitchen and your assistance when I called a few times to check dimensions.
'
Hannah from Preston 'We ordered the Altino Alabaster finish with a walnut laminate worktop, and are thrilled with our new kitchen. Our joiner said the quality of the cabinets was fantastic and he had a relatively easy time fitting them since they all came ready built with doors hung. We opted for Le Mans shelving in the corner base units which everyone has been very impressed with - they are worth every penny and hold plenty!
We had a delivery issue as some key items were missing from our order, however the customer service was amazing and everything was resolved immediately.
'
Sarah from Llanelli 'Really happy with the quality and finish of our units and worktop. Worth spending the extra to have the doors factory fitted as it saved so much time during installation. Excellent customer service throughout. Have recommended to friends and will definitely use diy-kitchens.com again. '
Paul from North Wales 'Here are some pictures of our kitchen.
The units were of the highest quality. They were easy to install and everyone is stunned when we tell them how little we paid for them.
'
Mark from Leeds 'Altino White & Graphite
We were really impressed with our Kitchen. We got a lot of ideas from your Showroom (the best we have ever been to) and the staff were most helpful. We loved the choice of sizes and best of all the price! We were that impressed our neighbours now have one of your Kitchens.
'
Lee from Hertfordshire 'Having researched all the usual places as well as a few extortionate local showrooms, we came across your site. Initially dubious about an Internet company, we took a day out to drive up and were very impressed with the whole setup and helpful staff. We opted for an acrylic gloss kitchen and are delighted with the end result. Kitchen was delivered fully assembled which made fitting very easy. Even small details like hidden supports in wall units and three way adjustment on door hinges, for perfect alignment, make this kitchen easily comparable with much more expensive designer kitchens.
After sales service was also first rate when I had a few questions so I would have no hesitation in highly recommending DIY kitchens.
'
Bee from Leeds 'We were so very pleased with the kitchen you supplied and your customer service during the process, there are too many companies out there who want to charge exorbitant prices and don't give good service, it was a refreshing change to come across yourselves. I had heard one or two good reports about you "on the grapevine" and I wasn't disappointed!
DIY Kitchens.com went out of their way to supply exactly what I had in mind for my dream kitchen. Communication was efficient and prompt and they were always patient and friendly. The kitchen carcasses, doors and components are all very good quality, as are the non-standard doors they manufactured for me. Pricing is very fair, no inflated prices, just honest excellent value, which enabled me to get the cabinet fittings I needed within the budget. I now have every type of drawer and pull-out I could ever need, no more struggling to see something at the back of a cupboard! (I recommend the superb AEG Maxiklasse Pyroluxe Oven too - cleaning the oven is now a
doddle!)
Delivery was efficient and absolutely everything our fitter needed was supplied, along with fitting tips if required. He was very pleased with the quality and said he would recommend them in future. I've never said this before about any company, but - I have no hesitation in unreservedly recommending DIY Kitchens.com"
Many thanks for everything, I'm one of many very happy customers.
Best regards,
Barée '
Joanne from Doncaster 'Was looking for a new kitchen, had a few people out to price up but I just got the feeling we were being ripped off, when I said to one
gentleman that I thought the price was a bit much he knocked three grand off straight away, so I started looking on the web and found DIY Kitchens and what a find the showroom is.
It is fantastic and Brian at the front desk who also takes you round is brilliant at his job, after you have picked your kitchen you then go online and order it, it sounds complicated but its not and if you are unsure phone Brian or one of the girls who will help you.
All the prices are in front of you so you know how much everything is and they are very fair prices, everything comes built up ready for you
and your fitter just needs to put feet, door and handles on, everything is solid and well made and I worked out we saved thousands of pounds, I also purchased all of my white goods , cookers , ovens , hob and saved a lot of money and also got 5 years free warrenty which was very easy and simple to apply for.
The only down side is you have to design the kitchen yourself but the showroom does give you some really good ideas. So far 4 other family have ordered a kitchen from them by just seeing our kitchen and going to the showroom and no one has had any problems and all love there new kitchens, enough said really.'
Oleg from Nottinghamshire 'We have done our kitchen ourselves in Feb-March 2014. This was our first family kitchen and we were rather worried if we can complete it without a professional installer.
However prices of leading brands providing reasonable quality such as Magnet, Wren, etc. were out of our range. At the same time we had bad experience with quality and services provided by ?low range? supplies like B&Q, Wickes and Ikea. We have read many positive comments about DIY Kitchens in various Internet sites and decided to have a go.
This was the right choice for us. We have managed to assemble our kitchen (style: Altino Alabaster, see photos) without any problems. We still have a few minor works to complete (e.g. tiling). We are very happy with the quality and the final look of our new kitchen.
From the very beginning we were quite impressed with the DIY Kitchens service and quality. Showrooms are great and staff there are very helpful.
We were pleasantly suppressed by DIY Kitchens which makes selection of units with all the required options like: proper panels, shelves, legs, etc. very easy and straightforward. This is the best kitchen web-site I have seen yet.
Communications (telephone and e-mail) were very easy and quick. The quality of units and materials, as far as we can judge, is very high, similar to the best we have seen in Magnet, Wren, etc. Fitting instructions were straightforward. Quality of fittings and fixtures is very high ? proper solid metal and good robust plastic. We still have had a few questions and forgot to order some minor items like extra legs and panels, but it was easy to solve these problems over telephone and extra items had been delivered very fast.
Finally we have a few minor criticisms. Selection of end panels of the selected kitchen style (Altino Alabaster) was rather limited so I had to cut some of them out of larger size panels myself (jigsaw can do it nicely, but making straight line cuts was not easy for an inexperienced DIYer like myself). Selection of lightning and worktop styles/suppliers could be wider. Finally, selecting handles lengths was not easy it would be good to have a recommended length displayed in a picture for every unit/door.'
Justin from Coventry 'My overall impression was very good, the quality easily matches and betters the major high street kitchen providers out there. My kitchen was fully fabricated and delivered within 2 weeks. My fitter certainly had no complaints and said compared to some he had fitted this one was good quality.
Not sure why you wouldn't wish to get a good quality kitchen quickly with a significant saving. I would recommend either a visit to their showroom or at the very least correspondence via email or telephone if you have problems understanding exactly what you need to order.
You do need to have some confidence you know what you are ordering, I work with drawings and measurements all day so I was able to produce my own plans via CAD which did help.
If you are not confident in this area I would recommend possibly employing a planner or enlisting the help of someone who has some knowledge.
I was very impressed in both the quality and value for money, I wouldn't hesitate recommending them to others.

Tahir - Bromley 'After getting several quotes from the major retailers, i felt we would not be able to have the kitchen that we desired... until my wife discovered DIY-Kitchens from TrustPilot website.
We decided to give them a go... i spoke to a lady called Vicky in sales who requested, i send across itemised quote with designs across to her so she could create me a shopping basket based on a couple of kitchens from their range. This was not easy and for a novice like me, it felt daunting task. Vicky reassured me throughout the process, created me a shopping basket and only then i realised how much i could save. I was interested now.. very interested as the diy kitchen i wanted was 4k cheaper than Howdens, better looking and more importantly, what i wanted.
Vicky suggested some additional changes which saved me £2,000 and created a very usable kitchen. I even requested handles from an image which was not available... Vicky went out of her way to source them. I placed the order and as my house refurb project was running a little late, Diy kitchens had no problem changing dates for delivery which really helped our builders with space. Once the items arrived, we had everything. Not one item was missing. I selected the door fitted option for all units including base, wall, magic corner and larder units... perfect! I wanted a precise finish and yes i was very pleased.
The builder on site commented that the quality was the best he had seen and asked me how much i paid... when i told him, he was surprised and said he will be suggesting DIY Kitchens to his customers and his wife.
Quality of the units was far superior than the competitor, the assembled and door fitting service reduced my labour cost for install by 40%.
I have many jealous friends now :)

Hi all at DIY kitchens. We would like to thank you all for your help and advice given to us whilst purchasing a new kitchen and deciding which one!
We visited your showrooms to help us make up our minds which was very useful. To any one having difficulty in deciding and has got the time a very worthwhile and pleasant visit without any pressure or hurry up. With knowledgeable staff on hand if needed.
We heard about DIY kitchens from our daughter who has also had a kitchen supplied by DIY kitchens so we knew the quality and service was good through her.
The kitchen arrived on time and we fitted it our selves without to much bad language, so it lived up to its name.
We are very happy with the whole experience which can be stressful with such an important purchase.
Once again many thanks to all at DIY kitchens.'
Alan from Houghton Regis 'We looked into several high street options including Wren, Magnet etc. but their prices were just over the top. Found DIY kitchens online and started the process of pricing the job up.
They supplied samples of the doors, cabinet internal colours and some 8 different handles for
us to choose from, all refundable once we had placed our order. The price of our new kitchen was at least 30% cheaper than the cheapest quote we had elsewhere and the Acrylic finish to the Altino White is just superb. We ended up fitting it ourselves which was straightforward since all the units come pre-assembled, very well put together. The support legs supplied are the sturdiest I have ever seen on kitchen units. DIY kitchens were a joy to work with and always had the answer to our questions. I absolutely thoroughly recommend them.'
Mike from Wakefield '
The DIY Kitchen online ordering process was straightforward and the customer services responded promptly to answer any questions we had during the ordering and installation process. The kitchen units were delivered built and the overall quality of the units, laminated doors and solid metal handles is fantastic.
We heard about DIY Kitchens from our local kitchen Installer, who has a great reputation and did an amazing job installing our entire kitchen.'
Gordon from Cornwall 'We found DIY Kitchens online, originally it was a retro kitchen that first attracted us, but on visiting the show room, we found things we liked better.
PS.When the washing machine breaks we will buy a fitted in washing machine, we have the door ready for when this happens in the future, so it will be hidden away, like the dishwasher.'
Mr Spruce from Sedgley 'Absolutely love the quality of the kitchen range purchased, cabinets well assembled & door finish very good.
Overall experience with DIY Kitchens from their sales staff at the showroom, all communications & delivery was faultless. Well recommended.'
Emma from Barnsley '

We heard about DIY kitchens through a friend and went to the showroom to choose our kitchen. We were very impressed by the choice there and the help we got when ordering everything. We have already recommended DIY kitchens to our family and friends.'
