Customer reviews - Luca Matt White
We would happily recommend DIY kitchens. The website was clear and easy to navigate. Pre-sales advice was good - we even managed to get special unit (1000mm wide sink draw unit) that didn't appear on the standard listings.
Overall I think the Cost vs Quality is very good and getting them delivered ready-made (and we chose to have doors and draw fronts fitted as well which is worth it!) saved a lot of hassle on-site - beats the flat packs!
We did have a minor issue with some door damage caused during shipping, this was resolved to our satisfaction.
Google Search
We spent a long time looking for a reasonably priced kitchen that was solid and didn't look cheap. It was a relief to find the DIY kitchen website after numerous trips to 'The Sheds' .Our builder had no problem fitting them and it saved us money as he didn't have to build the flatpacks. He appreciated the tea bags and biscuits as well - a nice touch! Helpful advice over the phone too. Delivery was on time and went without a hitch. I recommended the company to my brother who has also bought his new kitchen from them
My fitter was impressed with the quality of the units... He was expecting the worse because I had not gone to his usual supplier but said he would recommend you to others as fitting was easy, he loved the legs also.
We found you from a Google search. One reason I choose you was because your website was easy to use.
Very good. The staff in the show rooms were extremely knowledgeable & helpful.
The quality and finish of the doors and units is excellent. The service we had from yourselves in all aspects, sales, after sales and delivery was excellent too. Who can ask for anything more ? I enclose a few photos.
Having looked around the high street to find the style kitchen we wanted and spending a lot of time measuring and planning the design of our kitchen, we ordered from DIY-kitchens. The price was excellent and the quality was excellent too. I fitted the kitchen myself with a little help with the worktops from a carpenter. It was easier than I expected and has turned out better than we planned. I would definitely buy from again if we ever needed another kitchen and have advised friends to use DIY-kitchens too.
Our matt white Luca kitchen. We love its simple clean lines & modern feel completing the kitchen with a Hi-Macs worktop. Excellent value for money.
Please find attached some images of our completed kitchen.
I?ve been using DIY Kitchens for the last 9 years and have probably done approximately 40 kitchens in this time using their units and doors ? you can probably judge what I think of DIY by this. Their range and quality is amazing at a reasonable price.
How did I hear about DIY? Through the internet.
We found DIY kitchens via google search. We were looking for a matt, handleless kitchen, which many of the high street kitchen companies were not offering, and found that DIY kitchens had a good choice of colours and unit types. Also the price and specification far outweighed the German equivalents of the independent kitchen companies we had visited.
We found the website very simple to use and the ordering process was easy (once we had taken the time to work out our exact requirements), we changed a few of the tall units to keep the lines consistent and this was no problem. There were a couple of missing/incorrect items but these were rectified quickly and easily. We are incredibly pleased with the finished product. The drawers and cupboards open and close smoothly, the oak worktop is great quality and the appliances we ordered were excellent value for money. Our experienced kitchen fitter thought that the quality was at least as good as any designer kitchen he had fitted. The kitchen is large and we feel we have saved many thousands by using DIY, and we have already recommended to several friends.
I was tasked with converting my old office (man cave) into a kitchen, so that we could use the existing kitchen and corridor to create a lounge area for my little one to play in and store her mountains of toys!
So, I used the used the DIY Kitchens online paper planner, took the measurements of my new kitchen area and started planning. A few days later I had come up with my final design to make the most of the area that I had. I had planned 1 wall run with only 1mm to spare, ideally I should have left about 5 to compensate for wonky walls etc but to my amazement, the side with the wine racks on had no space left whatsoever on the kitchen run. Everything was that tight, the units would just hang there without any screws! We did however screw them in, just to be safe:-)
Ordering was really easy and having a look around the showroom really did help to get some inspiration and ideas. I did not want my kitchen for about 8 weeks as there was a lot of building work going on so placing my order for delivery 2 months down the line was not a problem.
When the kitchen was delivered, everything came really well packed and the delivery drivers were really helpful too.
The final kitchen is smaller than I'm used to but storage space was about the same and I got space to put bottles in and chopping boards too! The cupboard we could not live without is the 900x900 corner unit. This unit just swallows everything you put in it and it keeps asking for more! This will be a great unit around Christmas time where we can store all the shopping that we don't eat or will leave in there until 2016:-) Don't do what I did though....
...The 900x900 unit comes dry assembled (at our request) due to its size. I took it apart to get it inside the house, put it back together again with the strongest glue know to mankind and let it dry. My mistake as I had put the thing back together the wrong way round! I had to take the door off and redrill a few holes so i could remount the door on the correct side.
A word of wisdom, take a picture before. Put it back together without glue. Look at the picture, if there is a good match, then start gluing it!
The best part of the kitchen for me has to be the drawers. We have 5 in total and they are brilliant. No more hunting in cupboards as everything comes out to you! We decided to have an integrated oven and microwave inside a tall unit and I would 100% recommend having drawers below them rather than a cupboard.
All in all, I'm really happy with our new kitchen and would recommend DIY Kitchens to anyone.
Here are the pictures of my new kitchen from DIY Kitchens
Thank you diy kitchen's. I have got exactly what I wanted.
The kitchen looks spot on. Thank you for an excellent service from start to finish. I have passed on your details to many of my friends etc.
Many thanks
Hi,
I had a fabulous experience from beginning to end. I have attached photos of the kitchen.
(Luca Matt White & Stone Grey)
We completed our DIY kitchen towards the end of last year. We used you because the house we moved into 2 years ago already had an Ultima kitchen and we really liked it.
We're so happy with the final result, the quality of the kitchen we got from you guys is fantastic especially for what we paid, amazing value. It was the first time our builders had fitted one of your kitchens and they were all enthusing about the quality of the finish (quality units, solid backs, sturdy feet, the parts that are normally very cheap with other suppliers).
They were blown away when we told them how much we had paid for the kitchen and said multiple times that it was better quality that kitchens that cost twice as much on the high street. Our builder has since recommend you and is currently fitting one in the next village from us.
The wall tiles are actually ceramic floor titles and we got them from here: http://www.ceramictile.co.uk/
Please find attached pictures of our finished kitchen, which we are very pleased with.
Love our Luca Kitchen, so pleased with the Matt finish. The quality of the cabinets is great, fantastic delivery service and really appreciated by our fitter that the cabinets come pre-built. The ordering process was straightforward once we had taken a visit to the showroom, we figured out exactly what we wanted and how to plan.
I came across DIY kitchens on the internet and after reading all the great reviews decided to take the plunge. So glad we did, we saved so much money against the high street companies.
Everyone loves the sleek scandi-look of the kitchen, the rubberwood worktops work really well with the white handleless units and painted floor. DIY kitchens were recommended to us by people we trusted.
I heard about diy kitchens on line (search engine) and after talking to a few of my friends they had bought their kitchens from diy kitchens too!! After hearing there amazing experience with diy kitchens and the amount of money they saved by buy their kitchen from Diy kitchens I decided to buy my kitchen from them too.
Also I saw their kitchens and loved them. Diy kitchens has the most style range, colour and choice of doors that I have ever see as most other kitchen companies don't have as many.
Here is my before and after pics
I'm in love with my kitchen it's perfect great quality and cupboard space and style.
I can not recommend diy kitchens enough and also my fitter Kris Grey (Brighton)
Pros
Overall very pleased with the kitchen, price and quality of build. Happy with our choice of Luca white, simple and stylish. The pull out mechanisms work well and everything fitted in nicely after careful planning.
Couple of minor scratches to 2 doors but replacement doors were quickly sent without hassle. Great price for 15 cabinets plus accessories. Nice showroom and good, responsive customer service.
Cons
Delivery was late in the day around 9pm which was not ideal. Our carpenter had to make some alterations to the integrated fridge unit which would not house the AEG fridge properly, even though fridge supplied on diy kitchens. Cost us a bit extra. Would be good to have an online 3d kitchen planner to assist planning, rather than drawing out on paper. I used an independent free service online which did the job.
Here is my finished kitchen with a few pictures for your website.
Photos of our completed kitchen.
Very pleased with quality of kitchen
Heard about DIY kitchen via a friend who is a builder and had previously fitted several DIY kitchens and highly recommended them.
I thought you might want some pictures of my lovely new kitchen. It was completed in October, but it took us a while to get the room decorated, so I'm just sending the images now.
The kitchen is a Luca Matt White, with Silestone Blanco Maple counter tops and an oak top for the island. I'm delighted with it: the units and doors seem really solid; our kitchen fitter was very complimentary and recommended DIY Kitchens to his boss as a result, and friends and family have all been impressed.
I heard about DIY kitchens through Internet searches, and came to visit the showroom before I made my final decision. I was happy with the whole process. Although the prospect of designing my own kitchen was a bit daunting, and I did have to order extra plinth and side panels that I hadn't calculated for initially. The online support and materials helped and it's all worked out really well. Thankyou!
Excellent build quality, sturdy components and an unrivalled selection of unit options.
We came across DIY kitchens on the internet and having read the online reviews and seeing the pictures of real customers kitchens, decided to visit the store to see for ourselves. It was worth it. An equivalent quality kitchen was more than double the price from a high street retailer.
These are the exact chairs which we had professionally upholstered in the mustard yellow fabric. They are rosewood. There is a teal version which is more reasonable.

We love the feel of this kitchen and we've had loads of comments on the clean lines and classic finish of the doors. The minimalist modern look complements the more characterful details we wanted to include, our Maneki Neko waving cat is very happy with its new surroundings.
In terms of functionality, the deep drawers we went for are outstanding, such a great alternative to traditional cupboards for storing pots and pans. And the soft-close mechanisms work a treat, especially when our 1 year-old is feeling boisterous.
Our builder recommended DIY kitchens to us, he loves how easy everything is to assemble.
Here are the photos of our Luca kitchen.
I'm really pleased with my new kitchen - the quality (outstanding), service and delivery (exceptional).
I attach a couple of pics so that you can see how I have integrated it within my existing brown wooden kitchen. Previously the kitchen was all brown which i found depressing. By replacing the base units with diy-kitchens white ones, new Duropal worktop, Franke 1.5 bowl white sink, and 2 new white venetian blinds to replace 2 brown ones, the mix works really well. I am so pleased. Anything that is not perfect about it was in the fitting, not the units!
A few pics of our Luca white matt kitchen...
I have attached 3 pictures of my new kitchen. I found DIY-Kitchens on the internet. The kitchen was very well packed for delivery. The was no damages. The doors’ paint are smooth and of high quality and easy to clean.
We simply love the kitchen! I so much enjoyed designing the space!
We love our family / entertaining area too, which works well with the space and sky lantern!
Our Kitchen is still not entirely finished (finishing touches, decoration / corking, dining booth and new table and extractor fan required) but thought I would send some images as we are really pleased with the results thus far!
It's made it an excellent family living space with kitchen, seating area and dining area in one liveable space. It was a rather large project for us as my husband built it and the extension also!
Really pleased with the overall kitchen quality and look. I could design my own kitchen to suit my requirements. In this regard, I was not restricted as had been the case when obtaining quotes from other kitchen suppliers.
We are very happy with our Luca matt white / matt graphite kitchen from DIY kitchens.
Our kitchen was purchased in July of this year and your staff were fantastic and we highly recommend. Thank you
Fiona from Nottingham talks to DIY Kitchens about her new Innova Luca Matt White Handleless kitchen that she purchased from us.
We are delighted with our Luca Matt White kitchen and quartz Lagoon worktop.
Very impressed with the quality of the kitchen. Our fitter said the cabinets were easy to fit and the quality shines through. We are so pleased we bought the quartz worktop through DIY too, it was cheaper than everywhere else and well worth every penny.
The customer service was great, DIY were excellent at responding to queries straight away and picking up on a mistake we made on the order.
We found DIY online and although at first a bit apprehensive as we could not get to the showroom, all the online reviews and samples gave us confidence to take the plunge. The kitchen looks so much more expensive than it actually was, I would recommend DIY to anyone. WeI'll never go into a high street
Due to planning permission it’s took a lot longer than contemplated. It’s still not quite finished, but just the finishing touches to do now, ie the kickboards etc, but at least it’s fully useable.
We've had excellent customer service, dealt with any issues very quickly. The units are great quality, and the price even better, a certain diy chain store wanted 3 times the price!
We found out about you via google search, then popped to the showroom to take a look, everyone loves our kitchen, and we have recommended you to so many already.
A bit late but our kitchen is finally installed. Please find attached pics.
I absolutely love the kitchen. The quality is excellent and the range of options is brilliant. I was particularly happy to be able to design my own kitchen. Most of the other companies would not tell you what different units were available and made you use their kitchen planner.
I was also really impressed with the fact that DIY Kitchens will modify the unit dimensions. I found customer services very responsive and helpful (despite the overwhelming number of queries I sent them). Delivery was on time and easy. A couple of wrong items were sent but they were replaced without any hassle. And of course the price was significantly less than elsewhere.
My fitters and all of the many tradespeople who have seen it are really impressed with the quality. In summary this was a 10 out of 10 experience for me. Thanks!
NB The worktop is Apollo Slabtech, which I did not get from you. I also got the appliances separately.
Hi. It’s been a year since we had our kitchen delivered and fitted by a local tradesman. It’s wonderful. Wanted to share some before and after photos with you x
Pictures of the final kitchen.
We love the kitchen. The quality and build is amazing and really like the internal drawers and carousel. I found DIY through a web search. Originally was considering Wren but changed to DIY based on customer reviews. We also visited the showroom to view before ordering.
Here are some pictures of our newly completed kitchen and we love it! Having moved into the house 1 year ago, we knew the old kitchen had to go, as the style was not us and all the edging was falling off and the kitchen was only 3 years old!
So after 4 months of planning, this is the design we came up with to fill as much of the sace as possible, whilst keeping it as open as possible. We now have a cool bin unit at the end of the kitchen where a lot of the food prep happens, so all peelings etc are scraped straight off the workop into a unit! So convenient and the old eye sore of a bin is no more!
We also have a few wireworks in the smaller cupboards to fully utilise them and bring all the items out, rather than having to hunt for them.
We also opted to have 3 big pan drawer units next to each other to give some great lines in the design as well as lots of useful storage space.
The 2 guys that delivered the kitchen were great and very helpful and all the items ordered were delivered with nothing missing and no damages. All I can say is that the kitchen is remarkable and the service and support was too. Thank you!
I came across DIY kitchens whilst browsing the internet. I appreciated that the prices were reasonable and stated clearly unlike other kitchen suppliers I had come across. There was an excellent range of shapes and sizes of units. Upon reading reviews I chose to try it out and I have not been disappointed. The support service provided has been excellent whenever I had a query and the units and doors themselves are very high quality and easy to fit. I have paired the Matt white Luca handleless DIY kitchen with Serengeti quartz worktops and the overall finish is first class. Hidden behind the sleek doors are all of the appliances and plenty of storage space for our perfect entertaining kitchen. I have already recommended DIY kitchens to my friends
Finally, FINALLY done and here are the pictures of our kitchen, before and after. We love the new one to bits, so much better than the previous incarnation, so thank you, one and all, for your help and your products, we remain very impressed and happy that we made the right choice using DIY Kitchens.
We wish you all the continued success in the future and thank you for your excellent customer service. Best wishes, Rupert and Alexandra (and Donna P, who enjoys her niche very much too).
We found out about diy kitchens on line and after extensive research decided that diy kitchens are quality build and affordable. We had similar kitchen quoted at double the price. No brainer. After care were brilliant also. Thank you so much. We now have our dream kitchen!
I have taken some photos of our new kitchen.
I have attached photos of our kitchen which was supplied by you. My brother & sister in law recently had a kitchen supplied by you and they recommended you to us. We are very happy with our kitchen, the finished look is just what we were looking for.
It took us a while to complete the design but we liked the flexibility of designing our own kitchen. We love the pull out larder and the hidden cutlery drawers. There were a couple of mistakes with our order but these were rectified very efficiently and new parts delivered quickly. Overall we have been very impressed with the service we received and we love our new kitchen.
I thought I would share some photos with you of our finished kitchen. Really pleased with the outcome. Great service, great support and the finished item looks and feels great. What do you think? Thanks for everything.
Please find attached a few pictures of our (nearly!) completed kitchen extension. We got the kitchen units and island units from you and we love it! Thanks to everyone for all the assistance and guidance.
Here are images of our fab new DIY kitchen, which we had installed this summer. We love it. All the soft closures and the pan drawers and the larder. We could carry on how much we enjoy our shiny new storage wall cupboards. For the first time in twenty years, we can get to plates and pans without having to do a Rubik cube shuffle!!
The kitchen was delivered in perfect condition (with the packaging enjoyed by Cassie, our cat…) and when the larder jammed post installation, we had your expert straight out and sort it!
All we can say is that it makes our kitchen the best room in the house now. Thanks to all the DIY team! Keep up the fab work & wishing you all a Merry Christmas!
Love our new kitchen from DIY Kitchens. Great customer service and sturdy well made kitchen for a great price. I would highly recommend DIY Kitchens.
I found the quality a step above the basic options from the mainstream competition (Ikea, Homebase, B&Q, Wickes etc.) Love the fact it’s very flexible on ordering so if you’re interested in making your own kitchen pretty hands-on then you can get pretty close to a high end custom job at a fraction of the price.
Here are some photos of our new kitchen plus one of the original kitchen we had. We just love our new kitchen. It is fresh and has clean lines. We find the hidden handles stylish and easy to use.
My daughter bought a kitchen from you some years ago and we were impressed with the quality and good wear and tear.
